I really liked the sound of 'Way of the Samurai' (love them multiple-ending games), but when I played it...it wasn't all that great. Same with Fable. Not saying they're /bad/ games, just that they didn't quite meet my expectations.

i think that wii sports can definently fall into that category because it is only fun for like a day.(of course it is just a demo)

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum seemed amazing first, as well as Final Fantasy X-2. When I actually got to play more into them, I realized they really weren't.

Family guy game... I thought it would be better... but it turns out that not only was the gameplay bad, but the graphics were even worse.

I must admit GTA 4 was an impressive acomplishment however it like a chore to pay for the story, im really not impressed with the gameplay.

Dead Rising seemed like it was going to be good but it planely sucked when you got into the game play, and the storyline was awful also.

GTA 4 for me definately. I was so hyped up to get this game along with my xbox last year because I was looking up videos of get hit by cars and in my mind I was like, "Man I would love to play with the ragdoll physics all day long." But that got boring in 10 minutes.

Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon. Medicore plot, TERRIBLE characters, just about no evasion, held stats and the killing of units to progress through the game. It was such a let down for me. I highly enjoy the Fire Emblem series, but this one just kinda...Didn't seem like Fire Emblem. And yes, I did beat it.

Sonic and the Secret Rings; it was rated pretty good but i found the gameplay extremly hard

Agreed GTA4 was not nearly as good as everyone made it out to be. Don't get me wrong it had its moments but overall it wasn't what I had hoped for.GTA4 anyone? people said it was so amazing, but it was just an OK game at best. I think at least.
