Assassins Creed, it was a work of art, unfortunately art doesn't make for very good gameplay, same 4 things over and over again 5 if you count holding down a button and the analog up to climb to the highest reaches of the city... yea how did it sell 6mil again? I need to hire that marketing team

I'd say Most sand box games and classic style Pokemon games seem good at first, but mellow out somewhat after awhile.

Heavenly sword looked very good. the graphics were breathless but the game itself turned out to be mediocre.

I'll have to say Infinite Undiscovery. It started off great and I enjoyed all of the first disc, but I found the second disc to be mediocre at best. It seemed like I couldn't really have the characters I wanted, because some characters had skills that were essential to getting treasure, etc. Also, the Lunar Rain made me feel like I needed to race to locations, so my characters didn't Vermify. Finally, playing Capell for the entire game gets boring quickly as it just feels like a hack 'n' slash.

Assassin's Creed was way overrated. I played for a good time before I realized that it was the same thing over and over again. Not to mention, the ending was more than disappointing.

Star wars the force unleashed seamed like a gret game, but it ended up being somewhat boring.

I think Rock Band 1 wasn't all that great, the gameplay was basic and the instruments were fun, but they kept breaking. The guitar strum broke, the drum pad and foot petal broke, the top of the microphone popped off.

Most games are like this, I think. They're usually all hype, and a game that lives up to its advertising is the exception, not the rule.

There are a lot of games I know that looked awesome but really weren't fun.Guitar hero 4 seemed cool because it had a ton of songs and had everything rockband did, but it didnt deliver. gh metallica filled that blank in.The Force Unleashed seemed like a really badass game for the wii, but then i realized that the story was different, and the game just got repetetive after the million times you threw stuff at another robot.Super Paper Mario seemed like a good game - i liked the old RPG ones - but at the middle i just gave up - it wasn't fun anymore.

GTA 4 for me. Niko Bellic was an awesome character and the city was very realistic. I just didn't like the story too much, it's a bit too short for me.

Even though I did enjoy the game, Pokemon Pearl. Most of the new Pokemon were really disappointing, the legendary trio of the generation have very little to distinguish between them, a lot of the new moves were disappointing *coughDefogcough* and other than that, it just seemed fairly bland to me. Nonetheless, I still played it obsessively because I am a giant Pokemon nerd.

Spore is the ultimate in hype. Ended up spending hard earned cash on a game with little replay value.

I'd have to say the newest pokemon games... I got excited when I heard they were remodeling the game for the nintendo DS, but it's just the same as before. They're not really worth it.

Metal Slug for GBA. I was imaging an arcade game when in a single shoot you die, and it was not as I expected and with very short levels

I'll probably get flamed for this, but diablo ii got boring and repetitive after a while. all it boiled down to was point and click.
