the chick usually has better ranged stats in an rpg and i prefer strategy an efficiancy to button mashing with a strength bonus

lol well i always go male as I am a male...I don't relaly think gender choice is an issue for handheld games since people will usually just pick their own gender. In mmos though...lol guys always pretend to be girls

I always go male and I'm a guy. something inside me always makes me fear the day that my friends catch me playing as a girl.

Im a girl, most games I choose to play as a girl. But if they have made the girl run around like a complete idiot and annoying I am happy to pick male then.

I'm a female. And I've always, since I was a young kid playing Pokemon to now as a sixteen year old playing a wide range of games, chose the male character overall.Although in Harvest Moon for the Gamecube I was a girl. Because I didn't like the dudes hat >.<I guess I always choose male because I relate more to guys in RL. Outside of gaming or otherwise, my friends are either guys, or girls that act like guys.

I am a boy AND I WILL NEVER WANT TO BE A GIRL BECAUSE BOYS HAVE ALL THE COOL STUFF LIKE PRESENTS. There are more boy stuff in the world than girls anyway.

I choose girl if its something better like some games as the boy you are a warrior as girl you are mage i like the mage more so i sometimes pick girl but mostly i pick guy cuz i am a guy

I'm a guy, but sometimes I play as a girl. I don't find a problem with that, as many of these games are RPG, or Role-Playing Games. You're role playing, whats wrong with that?

I'm a girl and choose to be a guy...the only reason being that when i first played pokemon, i could ONLY be a guy and came up with an AWESOME name to use...haven't stopped using it since...

I have been a female character before, but I agree it is wierd to look at the representation of yourself as the opposite gender.I like playing as female, i'm a girl. It just feels sort of weird to see "yourself" as the opposite gender.

I usually choose a male character in a game to play as unless the only character was a female. Like other people have said before, it's hard seeing yourself as the other gender while playing a game. I find it somewhat hard to enjoy the game if I chose a different gender then the one I am in reality.

I choose randomly by holding the analog to the left or right to let it scroll fast and then press it, or just flip a coin for it
