So I recently got the game Dead Rising for the (xBox) 360, the one made by Capcom.I played it and found it to be horrible. Does anyone else share this opinion? The storyline is bad and a little hard to follow. You find yourself dieing a lot. You can't complete everything. Voice acting is rubbish. Graphics are okay but when you look at the cut-scenes they look like there wasn't an extreme amount of effort put in. Also it's a little hard to understand how exactly to play the game and such. For example changing the current objective so that your marker is point towards the one you want. More just seem to come up as I play. Also, do you get any other modes later? Have just a 72 hour mode seems really boring. This game is, to me, a waste of a nice game concept. The only part I enjoy is taking pictures and getting high PP for them. But even that is a little hard to understand.

I played the demo and thought it was pretty fun.. But I don't see what else you could do other than kill hordes of zombies.

this game wasnt made for the story (and if it was.... it wasnt made well) but just do the 72 hour mode as fast as you can, as complete as possible and youll unlock the infinite mode. which goes on forever, if you can stay alive. And you say you kepp dying? just carry a couple orange juices and good weapons.

No way that is an unreal game it really brings the xbox's swarm drive to life and the real time clock you have to complete the game in is brill.. of course you not going to be able to complete all the objectives but thats the beauty of it by playing the game again and again you can save different characters each time as it is impossible to save them all resulting in a different outcome every time.. and the countless hours of fun to be had hacking your way through hoards of zombies with lawnmowers guitars and anything you can find is unreal

I agree that it is fun for a little while, but I also never fully understood what was going on after playing for a significant amount of time.

Dead Rising has such a hard story line to complete. My brother loves zombie movies and so this game was like a dream for him. If you really like Dawn Of The Dead, then this game was a miracle for you. If not, then it was a little over the top ridiculous. It was still fun to play though

Over annalyzing this game is stupid, it wasn't made to be some brilliant, mind boggling story with beautiful cutscenes, it was made for people who want to rock zombies until their fingers get sore. If you're a diehard fan of zombie movies like I am, it's easy to overlook the imperfections of this game because for an endless hack and slash survival game its pretty much as good as they get. You can use pretty much anything you can find to kill any brain dead bastard that comes your way and you leanr moves like jujitsu throws and disembowelment that you can do with your bare hands. The game is totally beatable, and yes you won't be able to collect everything or save everyone but who cares, go play zelda then. What you can do is play through the entire game (if you're good enough) rack up your stats and new moves, and then start over again, play an entirely different story because of all the options you have, but this time you get to keep the stats you had from the last one and just keep on building on your own experience, while you kill zombies with frying pans and lawn darts. Basically if you want to just kill zombies or work out some agression, then you can do it endlessly, whether you play through the 72 hour story over and over again or you just play the infinite mode that you do earn after beating it. It rocks, and if you don't like it then go play viva pinada.

As great as it is for a bit of sandbox fun, I don't think it's that great for anything else, really. Even then, as awesome as being able to use "anything" as a weapon, there are still things you wish you could use, and even then, by the end of the game, you're only using the mini chainsaws/real buster/laser sword. :/Oh, and it actually is possible to save everyone in one go. ^_^

I'd have to say its a surprisingly fun game, I never thought of hacking zombies to bits with medieval weapons before. Also, it actually created some emotion in me when I played it. When I beat it, I was like "yeah awesome" and then
and I was like "zomgwtfbbqqhax". I actually felt really disappointed and thought that all Frank went through, just for that. The rest of the game story after that event was kinda dud, but I'd say the game is still pretty cool.

I found the feel and style of this game to be really bland. the developers got way to hung up on trying to get as many zombies on screen as possible. lacked variety and enjoyment for me.

I actually loved the game Dead Rising, but the time limit definitely had pros and cons. I really enjoyed how you are forced to make choices due to the lack of time given, but at the same time I found that trying to beat the clock was pretty stressful. I also didnt like how I felt like I didnt have extra time to explore and unlock all the achievements. But I thought it was definitely worth the buy.

As much as killing countless hordes of zombies sounds fun, even people can get tired of it. I think this game starts out fun, finding out the different ways to kill zombies and the such. But eventually you'll get bored.

I completely disagree, i love this game. I also am a big zombie fanatic though and i love killing them in insanely funny and gory ways.
