That there was an orphanage for bad kids behind epcot where the boardwalk is. I believed that until I was 13 pretty much.

Wow, this brings back a lot of memories. When I was young I believed that if I ever went outside past 8pm, there would be a child-eating monster lurking the neighbourhood and feasting on unsuspecting innocent children... I can blame my nightmares on my grandparents for telling me such a lie! D:

I believed that at night, when the moon was out and I'd be walking around or being driven somewhere, that the moon was following me. (I just about died when I heard that very line mentioned in the film "Arthur" years later and hada very "OMG!!!! I'm not the only one!!" moment over it. X-D)

I totally believed that when I accidentally swallowed gum my intestines would stick together and get tangled...and likewise if it's fruit seeds a plant will grow out of my head...

I believed in the tooth fairy, some book I read gave me that idea. I also believed in ghosts and I wouldn't dare to go anywhere at night because I'm somehow convinced a ghost is stalking me just like they do in the movies

I saw my nana pull her dentures out when I was 3 or 4 so I went in my room and got pissed that my teeth wouldn't come out after pulling on them for like 10 minutes.

same here. I used to think that there's fairies and stuff around me when I heard rustling sounds. And I once believed that sweets will make me taller.. That was seriously crazy..Well, some of the stuff I believed in was fairies and gnomes and all that. Fantasy and pure fiction, all of them. This impression was created when I was reading the infamous Enid Blyton children's storybooks. That's WAS what i believed, I don't believe in those stuff now. What was the silly stuff that you believed in?

I believed in many things. One of my most notible beliefs was that I thought the universe was like a clay pot with two openings and all the stars and planets around were actually cracks or tiny holes in the pot that shown the light of heaven.The moon and sun were the two openning where the lids go. That being said, whenever the sun was out the "lid" was on the moon and viceversa. ah! the good ol' days!

I used to believe that the Crypt Keeper from Tells From the Crypt was real and he would haunt my nightmares because he didn't like me. One was true, he really was the subject of 99% of my nightmares.

I never really gave much thought to fairy tales, but I sure misinterpreted a lot of things when I was a kid. Like, when someone said "I have ants in my pants," I actually thought they had pants in their pants and I would tell everybody so.
