I don't know if this has been posted or not, and no, I'm not spamming some crap. I wanted to confirm a rumor about the 360. Apparently, some people have ran into a virus that's out there for 360's. I don't know if it's true or not, and I wanted to see if anyone else has heard of it. My friend told me about and I tried looking up some info, and I heard Microsoft doesn't cover it. I looked around and found this http://www.maxconsol...ws&newsid=19904 If it's true, then I may have to reconsider buying a 360. If anyone can tell me about it, I'd appreciate it.EDIT: Alright, I did some more looking a now I found what my friend was talking about. It deals with this http://www.joystiq.c...e-new-red-ring/ Apparently a new RROD for newer 360 models. Looks like I'll have to hold off on getting the 360 for a while...

The closest thing to a virus that is known to happen on the Xbox 360 is the the Red Ring Of Death which is where you get 3 flashing red lights when you turn it on. The good news is that this is no longer a serious issue and you can easily get it replaced free of charge if you run into this problem. It wont be likely to happen to your console though, unless you got your Xbox 360 before 2007.

Nah, MS would probabally fix it.Really though, there are two reasons people make viruses,1.Money2.InfamyNot much profit potential, and you cant even easily modify your xbox if you open it up, let alone with a data packet. Finally live is a pretty secure environment. I would be interested to see how a virus could be uploaded as all of the servers and datacenters are owned by M$.

MS wouldnt leave you hangin with a F*ed up console. they'd replace it as long as you havent broken the warranty with it, like tried to fix youself before letting the experts fix it.
