For those of you who don't already know, Dolphin is the premier GameCube and Wii emulator in existence, with decent compatibility and performance (namely, SSBM runs almost flawlessly as does New Super Mario Bros Wii).

You can get it from its official website here:
http://dolphin-emula...m/download.html

Do note that while it is generally recommended to use the latest versions, they may break some things that work in the previous versions (it is incremental development after all). If so, just try an older version.

How to install and use Dolphin: http://wiki.dolphin-...talling_Dolphin

That's it for now. Have fun!

For all of you that don't have a wii and still want to play Nintendo games there is a wii emulator out there for you. Well actually it is the same emulator that runs gamecube games just now they have upgraded it so it can run wii games as well. The thing that is great about it is: IT CAN RUN WII GAMES WITH HD RESOLUTION. You heard right wii games that a wii can't run on 720p You will probably need a fairly decent computer to pull this off and have it run well. Here is a viedo of just that (press HD to try it out)Here is a link to the downloadDownloads: [Unofficial] Windows Builds 32bitDolphin SVN build 2745 [NEW]http://www.nyleveia....?os=32&ver=2745Downloads: [Unofficial] Windows Builds 64bitDolphin SVN build 2745 [NEW]http://www.nyleveia....?os=64&ver=2745Downloads: [Unoffical] Linux Builds 32bitDolphin 2745-fastlog [NEW]http://www.dolphin-e...;download_id=65Downloads: [Unofficial] Linux Builds 64bitDolphin 2745-fastlog [NEW]http://www.dolphin-e...;download_id=66You can cheak wich games will work with it herehttp://www.dolphin-emu.com/list.phpThis is what wiki says about the requirements for dolphin:In order to run the emulator, a computer must meet these requirements. * Windows XP or higher, Linux or Mac OS X (Intel-based Macs) * A fast CPU with support for SSE2. (Dual-core recommended) * Graphics card/GPU that supports Pixel Shader 2.0Just found a official wii emulator thread sorry about that can you add this to there?

I've changed the link on the first post. That will point you right to where you can get the newest SVN at all times. It'll save us all from updating the links (since it's done for us). That site only has the "windows" builds though as far as I know. Let's just say there is a heck of a lot more running since SVN R2745. Also, this should be pinned.Molh: Changed that link to point to EmuCR.com, where the very latest SVNs are now,That Mediafire account hasn't been updated in a few months.

I keep on trying to open the Dolphin emulator but it keeps on popping up with an error message saying that I do not have something for it to run properly and that it might work if I reinstall is. I have no idea what I am doing really so help would be greatly appreciated

That sounds like a good idea, you should give it a try. Remember emulator tend to over heat the device and run pretty slow, so be patient and do not cover the console in any way to permit proper ventilation.

I've been using the Dolphin emulator for well over a year now, loved it since the day I got it back around version 2.0 or so. They're up to Version 4.0.1 now, which has me ecstatic since one of the major fixes it has is fixing Super Monkey Ball 2, which has been rather screwy since sometime in the 3.0 to 3.5 range. The link in the original post is now outdated, the people at that site abandoned the project shortly after the 3.5 release, now www.dolphin-emu.org is the official site.
