Slateport was the most cheerful city in Emerald to me, I still smile when I visit on on replays of the game.

Clear and concise, but never thoughtless.

sootopolis is my favourite city in pokemon. love how you had to dive underwater to find it was really exciting. I also loved goldenrod because of the train between kanto and jhoto in the orgional pokemon gold and silver games.

Mine would have to be Celadon City in pokemon Red/Blue. Most likely because I could buy Stones to evolve my pokemon for the first time and I was pretty excited needless to say.

I'll have to agree for basically the same reasoning. Celadon city had the pokemon shopping mall place, and in the original games it had the grass type gym, and the old pervert looking at all the girls in the gym XD

I always liked Goldenrod City from the G/S/C games, however, since those games have been re-vamped, I've got to say I really like Ecruteak City. The styling they put on that place was really nice!

I think my most favorite city, is Vermillion city in the original Red/Yellow/Blue games. The music was just so fun to listen to. I remember me being little, I used to just sit there and listen to the song until I got bored. Plus Lt. Surge was my favorite Gym Leader, so why not linger around the city for a bit? Plus I also used to get so mad at Snorelax blocking my path too. Haha.

I'm gonna have to say Castelia City.  I love the round design, the way the camera rotates, all of the many buildings and features...

I liked Ekruteak City? I think that is how it was spelled. I just thought having a Ghost gym was kind of cool at the time, and the music I thought was very, very relaxing.

My favorite would have to be Fushia, because that's where the Safari Zone is.

I guess, I'll be more old school and go with Lavendar Town.  The only place in the early generations to catch ghastly and cubone.  It also had a creepy feel to it and was surrounded in myths and rumors.

I guess, Lavendar Town is my favorite, because it stands out in Pokemon lore.

Of course, I have to wonder which of the graves is for your rivals Raticate.  Since, he seemly admits to be there for a reason and we never see it again later in the game.

in the original blue and red, I was fascinated by the town with the memorial tower and ghost types. I thought it was pretty morbid for a kids game, but kinda respected the audience as well.

Lavender town, you mean?

It's indeed a nice town. :)

But I prefer Viridian city.

It's the city where new players come after they started the game and tried to battle the gym without any luck getting in.

But also the stronger players come here to finally being able to enter the gym and go to the league afterwards.

So it's kind of a mix of different people who come here. :)

Lavender Town from the original Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow. That atmosphere and music never failed to creep me out big time. Plus it was first place in the game where you'd encounter Ghost type Pokemon. That city has to this day made such an impact to me. Lavender also looked pretty good in Firered and Leafgreen.
