Stuck in Lifesigns: Hospital Affairs

I'm stuck in Chapter 2 on the endotracheal intubation part. I slide the stylus down deep into the black colored tube since that's the only place it will let me go, and when I get to the end it says "Wrong Spot!" And I automatically lose life. What am I supposed to do here to pass this part?

Is "Hospital Affairs" the first or the second of the Lifesigns series? I've got them both, but I've only played the first one so far. If it's that one, lemme know and I'll dig out my copy, replay that bit, and let you know how to do it! 
I seem to recall having some difficulty with the endotrachial tube though too!
