I thought it was HORRIBLE. There was barely any background music the actors weren't acting very great and they all looked like they needed more lighting. My gerd!!!!!Seriously that was a bad movie in my opinion. I almost went emo watching that movie.

I have an entire rant set up on this subject, over 8,000 words of my pure hatred about this book.In case you can't tell, I dislike it.What makes me dislike it even more, is how people push forwards ideas that it's a 'good read' or it's 'innocent'. Hardly. It's pushing forward ideals that are basically talking about how women should be subservient to men and that vampires are apparently awesome when they aren't really vampires.Get real Stephanie Myer, do some research next time, and realise that you fail as a writer. You sell out you...Don't even get me started on the movie though...

I honestly love Twilight, the book, that is. I hate the fact that Stephenie Meyer changed the view of Vampires though, and that fact that the movie sucks way too much and Bella, the heroine, is way too superficial, but well, I still love how it has been written. It indeed leaves a strange effect on the readers. To be honest I love only the first one and second one; third one just a little bit and I haven't read the fourth but somehow I feel that's the one that's gonna screw the whole saga.

It's too cliche. I for one actually read the book (so help me God) and stopped half-way. It literally takes every romance and fantasy novel archtype in existence and puts it into one boring novel thats all about this girl's obession with ONE vampire and how this ONE vampire focuses on just her when he can have any other girl in the whole country. Even Dracula had 3 wives and he got tired of them!

I dislike Twilight because it totally changes blood sucking monsters to a sparkly human and sun lover... That's my opinion anyway... I'm just used to Trinity Blood Trinity Blood, Abel Nightroad... Posted Image Posted Image

I dislike twilight because of what it does to the people and because of its mechanics. Mechanically mixing both romance and fantasy/horror is like saying hey lets create a universal umbrella series. I mean if the same were true I could do a emake of silent hill with a very well thought out romance plot and the thing should sell like hotcakes. But no the writers spent all of their time developing the relationships to make any of the horror parts worthwhile. On another note I really hate the subculture that twilight has created. There are now delusional gils at my school who actually do belive in vampires and that vampires are your typical american pretty boy. That being said all most all of the girls who forgot to take their ADHD meds their inhaler and their brain walk around stalking boys who they belive are vampires. Believe me its not fun to be stalked by these people. Seriously after running 5 blocks just to get away from these morons is ludacris, its almost like the author planned on making high school hell for adolecent boys

Stephenie Meyer has a creativity the size of a stegasaurus' brain. Yes she sucks at writing these books and that's why i hate it.Yes Twilight sucks because Stephenie Meyer sucks at writing books. The End.

Well said. The movies are ok, I've read all the books but I think her writing is really elementary. And the second book....blehhh, well the series sort of deteriorated after the first book. Complete rubbish after that. I mean the idea of a bloodsucker liking a human isn't exactly new of innovative or genius is it? She probably was a little too into Angel and Buffy.Another thing that I hate about the series is her limited and overused vocabulary and character descriptions.............how many times do you say "the hole in my chest" and we are bombarded with Edward's beauty and Bella's clumsiness. If you minus all these ridiculously repeated phrases, you'd lose half the books.I read Breaking Dawn just for closure and I'm sorry I did. NOBODY died!!! Nothing, no life lessons, no character growth, a load of rubbish really. Can you imagine people compare this tosh to Harry Potter? Which even though started out as a purely children's book has better bloody writing than all of Meyer's work.

YES! I agree wholeheartedly with the topic creator's opinion. Twilight is one thing I won't read, because I've heard too many good things about it. I had to avoid watching the movie by BLASTING the volume of my MP3 player.

I used to be addicted to Twilight but, now I agree with those who say that Twilight sucks. It is not that I hate the movie but I had time to really evaluate the book and I concluded that the plot is a little bit of a cliché because the plot is like girl meets boy, girl attracted to boy, boy is a vampire, then the "forbidden" love begins. [I'm just talking about the first book]. I think that the book attracted it's fans because of Meyer's writing style and not the story.

Yeh, I agree. Twilight sega is pretty good, but the movie was HORRIBLE..except maybe for the female character, she kinda rock at her role

Honestly. Are all those 15 year old girls liking it because it's a good book or because they think Robert Patterson is attractive? When are they gonna realize that that book is terrible? The author is terrible, I read two chapters and cursed myself for doing so.So yes it sucks.

I read New Moon for a book report last year, and MY GOD. The entire book is just angsting. The writing is terrible, the plot is blurry and confusing, and the characters are empty and cliche to the highest degree.Anyone who finds that series interesting is either brain dead, a teenage girl, or a person whohasn't read real literature.

I think that certain things in the Twilight series are just plain ridiculous; like vampires who are apparently psychic, and the fact that they "shine like diamonds" when under sunlight. But of course, I shouldn't make snap judgements about the book. I'll actually get past my issues about the book and force myself to read it one day.

I've read only a few pages from the book and I've seen the movie and I just don't get the fuss over it...to answer the question, yes it does, literary wise I think Meyer's a bad writer and the movie version is overrated, they could've added more depth into it as I believe the book has more "twists" (as per the fans) but I wouldn't expect more...most twilight fans I know hardly read books and are only after rpatz...there are other novels out there about vampires that are far more superior

I have not read the book, but saw the Movie first. Personally I think the MOVIE was very bad, plain, cold and so boring. I didn't even get the whole storyline through the movie, I hope the second movie will be better. From my other friends they told me that the BOOK is the best, but the movie is the worst. They also hope for the second movie will be better ^^

Twilight is waay too overrated, the story line isn't original, the characters aren't detailed enough either. I've only read the first book, didn't even bother with the movie or consider reading the next 3 books.
