Twilight is one of the worst movies that ever existed. After seeing it I read the first Twilight book to see what is so great about it. What did I find? A terrible plot and storyline, a lot of pages describing relationship issues, and many descriptions of how the vampire looks. Also they completely destroyed the original vampire and replaced it with some kind of new nonsense.Whoever is a fan of this kind of garbage must have no taste in literature, or they just like fantasizing about being in a relationship. If it's the former then it's understandable, if it's the latter then they need to get out more, or read a well written romance novel instead of this kind of junk.

Well I have not seen the Movie or read the books, but from the way that all the fangirls are behaving... I dont think I really want to.And in all honesty, the plot seems a bit cliche to me.

My wife loved the books and dragged me to the movie when it first came out... holy crap talk about cheesy!!! There were times when I'm sure I annoyed the 13 year old girls sitting around us because I would just burst out laughing when it got too stupid for me... it always seemed to happen in not-supposed-to-be-funny part of the movie. Yes it sucketh greatly!

It is kind of like just a romance. Which is lame. The only proof he really has that he's a vampire isthat his skin SPARKLESvampires don't sparkle in the sun, they're supposed to BURN

dunno. but since girls are crazy about it so i bet i'm gonna feel really g*y-ish after watching it.if they really want to make a vampire-themed movie, why not get the idea from game like Castlevania. would be great to watch then.

I haven't read it and I have no intention to. Not to prove a point about my "manliness" or anything it's just that I don't think it has a very interesting premises.

Twilight is awesome. If you're in to blatantly gratuitous teen angst and romance usually found in the halls of high schools across the world. Either the author's a Mary Sue type or she just knew what audience to write for in order to get the big bucks. Twilight strips vampires of their horror and turns them in to pretty dolls, a shallow image. Twilight is garbage if you're a serious fan of vampire literature and media that hold true to the roots of the vampire myths and try to carry substance over sexual tension. Vampires were never a sexy thing until story-tellers took on the task of embellishing and aggrandizing the tales! There are several different reasons in different versions of the vampire tale as to why vampires have never been able to walk in the sunlight and Twilight spits on all of this! Says that's lame, I want to go to prom with a vampire! wheee! Like this is an everyday normal thing. *eyeroll* Character development was shallow at best and the leaps and bounds they made from one plot point to another were just too far to be real. Yes I'm in love with a creepy, blood hungry vampire that likes to stalk me on a daily basis. :awesome: wooo.

Well. I don't think the movie was that great and the writing style of the novel I couldn't say is AMAZING. but it's a pretty ok story.

The writing was not terrible, but the story-line was way too predictable, and the characters were extremely stereotypical and one-dimensional. The biggest problem with the movie is definitely the fact that the main character does not smile even once! It's like she's extremely depressed through the entire thing even though she's found the love of her life!Except that it is still a compelling love story, and kind of a dream for lots of people.

God, twilight sucks so bad! I prefer daytime, at least you can see!jk But half of the stuff that goes on in twilight seems like wrong choices...And the way Meyer explains stuff is ridiculous, like no one would ever choose those in real life..

Nothing against twilight, but can't really see the hype around it to be honest. My bro reckons its another 'we can never be together' story (it is centred around vampire romance and thats been here for a good while). Thought if I was bothered, I wouldn't mind to read the novel and watch the movie, guess just to kill the boredom.

Twilight, Twilight, Twilight Now here is something I'd rather not see in the middle of the night. Now the first thing I got a problem with it is just how blah the story is and how sue-ish the main character Isabella is I can get being a little bland , for I'm bland in real life so I get that, but being so bland that it's bad should be a crime in Literature, sadly it is not. Another one thing I got wrong with it is the vampires, I mean really sparkle!, vegaterain vampires really veg-head vampires what is the world coming to. Vampires are supposed to slip around in the night preying on humans leaving the dead bodies for the rats, I'm sure that's really my kind of vampire I think of, and they have to have a invation to come into the house and if revocked of that invation they have to leave. I also agree with the whole crosses ward off vampires, but I also agree with Stephen King version of Cross ward off (Salem's Lot) is mostly caused by the belife that it will work, and in Twilight it's not even mentioned or explained, I also never read past chapter 3 in the book it gave me a headache and I'm so not kidding I never get a headache from reading and I read all the time, it really got my ruffled. Now I get the whole unable to turn into bats cause it really dosen't make any logical sense, though I still think it's a little bit of old comfort to think Vampires turning into bats. Now for the way it was writtin' I do have to give her credit for trying first veiw but after the first book I would've tryed somehting else, not to metion the massive spelling errors in the book {though I my self can't spell wroth crap} it's going to be published for the world it should've been betaed and spell checked. THe plot was the blandess of the bland with it's angst of teen love that can never be returned if I wanted that from a story I would've read a fanfiction written and riddled with angst and proably got the same effect a headache! Another problem with the plot is the plot holes in the book, now I haven't read any of the books other in the first three chapters and a few pages of Breaking Dawn, and the main one I found was how the hell could Isabella get pregnate if vampire's are technically dead and so he can't logically have children in a world that worked normally but the world Twilight is set in the dead can apperantlly have children that nearly kill their mothers. Now Stephenie Meyers has an answer for this his incubas, a mythical creature that takes life force from humans why they do the act, now this dose make since cause they also steal the reporduction materails of the gender the act with. I do have question when the incubas is what edward is then dose that means he's a girl cause that's how the get the dna material from their is being a girl and I really doubt he swings both ways. I kinda stopping it here cause I only really meant to just say if Twilight sucks or not and I kinda ended up ranting, mostly cause I have no one to talk to at home about this and I do apoligize about this, and my personal opion is that indeed Twilight sucks and I haven't read the whole book once mostly cause it's so headache giving and the plot is just no! Though I do get why people have it as a guilty pleasure kind of book, I'll be going now before this turns into more rants about the book also I apoligize if this is kinda spammish or not since I rarely post on fourms ... so yeah have a nice day by the way!

It's not overly imaginative or well-written, but it's an ok story. Well, I say that - it starts off ok then gets bad. =\ "Omg the evil vampirez are coming!" "Oh noes, we must fight them!" "Yes, we shall prepare!" ... "Oh, wait, never mind." Gah, such a lazy ending. Stephanie Meyer obviously cannot write combat. Though, if the book's bad, the movie is worse.

For me, Twilight SUCKS. Not only is Stephenie Meyer's writing style droll and boring, the characters are unusually perfect i.e. "Mary Sues". And where the hell can you find glittery vampires?

I completely agree. At first, I thought it would interesting since the story starts off decent. Throughout the book, I find out that Edward's personality is about as interesting as a brick wall. I really dislike the numerous times the author mentions how perfect the vampire is and I just completely swore off the series when I read the part where Edward sparkles.
