I'm with you on this one. The books are actually pretty good in the sense on how it can captivate the reader, IMO. However, like many others have mentioned, the movie is just not up at par. I'm not trying to be a hard critic, but it's just a disappointment with way too much hype and exposure.I think that Twilight the book isn't horrible. In fact, it's pretty good. However, the movie is just...no. Just no.

I actually believe that the fans of this book do like the story. Many of them are just sad fantasizers who can't get a real taste of romance so they have to experience it through a crappy book. Crappy in the sense that the plot is pathetic (A falls in love with B, B falls in love with A, insert something along the lines of forbiddenness from Romeo and Juliet), character development is nonexistant (going from I'm not allowed to love you to I'm going to love you even at a risk does not count) and the lack of substance. Honestly, the book repeats itself 9230843092 times saying that our hero the Vampire guy is dashing but he is afraid that he can't control himself. Feel slightly guilty flaming the book completely so I'll say something good nowI used to be addicted to Twilight but, now I agree with those who say that Twilight sucks. It is not that I hate the movie but I had time to really evaluate the book and I concluded that the plot is a little bit of a cliché because the plot is like girl meets boy, girl attracted to boy, boy is a vampire, then the "forbidden" love begins. [I'm just talking about the first book]. I think that the book attracted it's fans because of Meyer's writing style and not the story.
