Dragons are the way to go. sure the maybe be the most noticeable mythical creature but hey, they also kick assI'd choose a dragon. Cliche, I know, but I'd have the ultimate weapon. It'd be able to toast all of my enemies, (not that I currently have any but it'd be good insurance), their hide is extremly tough, it could provide me with wise council and it could fly me anywhere. And I mean, anywhere. As in, in this dimension or another.

i would want to have a griffin. Those things are pretty gnarly. you take two badass animals (a lion and an eagle) and combine them.

I would like to have a Dragon. It has to be a smallish one because I think it would be hard to take care of one that is too big. It also has to be able to fly.

i would like an Earth Sphinx or Griffin....because in the Myth:they are the gods of the earth controlling everything about it and it also flies! ^^they are like somewhat lions that had wings ^^

A Kitsune would be pretty sweet to have as a pet. Not sure one would agree to it, but...the same could be said for everything else in this thread, too. 
Also, the ability to become invisible and create illusions would keep those dumb secret agents off our tail, too!

well I didn't see this in the first page, I actually would want a pokemon- to me, they're mythological enough since they're not real anyway, but I love pokemon. Maybe a sharpedo, my favorite.

Like i have seen since pokemon are not real that means they are mythical, so i would go with Zapdos because it could fly me places in style and power my home, no electrical bill

I saw a movie a few weeks ago that had a Black Pegasus. He was absolutely stunning and if I could have any mythical animal it would be him because not only would I have a gorgeous animal as a compaion, I could also ride him & he can fly!
