I have completed the entire Pokedex for the Blue version 151(encompassing Red and Yellow, obviously) including Mew. I got the Mew off a friend's Game Shark.I have completed the entire Pokedex for the Silver version 251(encompassing Gold), also including Mew. I can't remember if Celebi was added in these versions - if so, then I guess you could say I was missing one, since I never had a Celebi.I traded with the same friend who had the opposite version to get the ones I needed in both games. I haven't really "played" Pokemon as a completionist since Gold and Silver, but I have beaten Sapphire and Diamond.

I have all 493 Pokemon on Diamond and put them in order to check. I traded from Soul Silver and Platinum, and also used the GTS to help fill up my Pokedex. Took an incredibly long time making eggs and evolving, but it's all done.

i never had friends to trade with when i was a kid, so i could only obtain the pokemon that were available in my yellow and red versions. that means none of the trade evolutions or 'versions exclusive' ones. i haven't even bothered to look up the reward for doing it

finishing the pokedex is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hard in all of the games especially because most of the legendrys require a masterball to catch but to anyone who has completed it you are the very best that no one ever was

I never FULLY finnished it, but back in the day (before Bland and white) I nearly had all of them (I was about 20 off I think, or something like that.)

Being an emulator player... I never got any Pokemon that you needed to trade to evolve (like Alakazam and Golem)... well, legally at least.. lol
Even with trades it seems exceptionally hard.. in Emerald generation it was simply way too hard to obtain Celebi and Jirachi, don't u think?

I didn't finish Pokedex 'cause for me, it's not needed to finish the game.

I also have never finished it, but I always caught all the legendaries I could. Someday I plan to buy old GBC's and do it manually.

Honestly. I never spend that much time roaming areas for Pokemon. If i happen to see them, then that's another story. But, i usually just beat the game first, then use cheats for Pokedex completion. Just because it normally takes forever to find and all Pokemon.

I never completed it, or tried for that matter,but my friend completed it. He probably spent more than 1000 hours doing so.

one of the hardest things to do in pokemon only finished it with infinite rare candies cheat and pick which pokemon spawns another cheat, but i'm trying to do it the right way in my white game (i'm not even close)

I was hell-bent on trying to capture every pokemon in D/P, i used the guide book as a running guide and a list- marking off those i had and attempting to find those i hadn't found yet. I'm pretty sure i came to within 100 but i had to give up because I got tired of trying to find pokemon lol

I managed to complete Pokemon platinum's national dex. And believe me that takes time and I did not hack. I went to all the events for those Pokemon like mew and celebi. And I also had to complete the pokedex on Pokemon emerald to complete platinum which was also not fun...

i don't think it's possible to catch all of them in one game. but the reward is an extra star on the trainer card
