Nintendo Koppai was the company's name when they made Hanafuda cards. They were based out of Kyoto.

I had no idea for this one, so thank heavens for teh internetz.#1 Publishers could not release the sam game on competing consoles for a period of 2 years.#2 Nintendo would decide how many cartridges would be supplied to the licensee.#3 Nintendo would decide how much space would be used in articles or adverts, like Nintendo Power Magazine#4 Licensees had to buy a minimum nuber of carts from Nintendo ( not related to the question, but that seems counter intuitive to rule #2)#5 No publisher could release more than 5 games each year, so as not to flood the market. aka: shovelware aka: what is happening to the DS right now.

I would think it's Donkey Kong. I only say that because DK released in 1981, whereas Super Mario Bros. released with the NES in 1985.
