It looks fugly, like the top sliding screen could peel right off if you bumped it too hard. And the download-only content is a real turnoff for me - I actually like physical copies of my games. I'll stick with the original model.

Looks like a complete failure. For 250 Euro (even more in USD) I would much rather get a 360 for that costs. Sony your killing yourself here.

lots of ppl will still buy it but....they will think o joy a new psp mummy get it for me aswell as as pony....i reckon they have thought long and hard about making a new device that isnt backwards compatible with games that are made for it.......we spend more to get our old games on the new device.....sony makes more

I agree this is total crap as well. Retailers like gamestop are getting angry because they think sony is saying they don't need them anymore. Maybe sony is coming on to something, but when you think about it is kinda sad that stores like Gamestop will eventually go out of business because downloading and ordering things from online is so much easier. Gamestores offer very little in terms of innovation to the industry.But they are just remaking the PSP... a 3rd damn time... and now it's more expensive?... for what?

4'th time... 1000,2000,3000 and now psp goand not everyone has wireless so maybe gamestop could add a hot spot and or give discounts when buying or since games are 1-2 gigs they could have a database for direct transfers (only way i see them remaining viable for psp go)... but its kind of a big middle finger to gamestoresBut there is always consoles for mediaI agree this is total crap as well. You don't need wifi, you can download the games from the internet and then transfer them onto your psp via usb. And it is a 3rd remake because the PSP-1000 doesn't count as a remake : P

Well if it was the same price or only a little more, why wouldn't you buy it for the bigger screen, and 16GB internal HDD. I personally don't think it's too ugly until you expand it...It's not that it's expensive, so much, as that it's ugly and unnecessary.

Untill it becomes hackable what real benefit do you get from the 16gb HHD? store adult material, some games and random other stuffbut maybe this will sony will push there 3'rd party stuff such as the psp camera around a $100 for a 2.3MegaPixel camera (Hopefully they improve the camera quality) and the sony GPS thing (even though they could just add a small cellphone gps receiver and sell the service)But who knows... sony is usually good at making crap additions that doesn't add much to the total effect of a device

Piracy is bad and thinking like that is why people worry that piracy will cause the end of new systems being released and companies failing hard. Never look at buying a system only if you can hack it and pirate games... that's only a benefit. What sony needs is incentive for people to purchase their products.. right now their isn't much. Nintendo is doing a cool thing with Heart Gold and Soul Silver for example, that Pokewalker is single handedly going to force me to buy the actual game rather than downloading it because then I won't feel like I'm wasting time walking to classes and going shopping for groceries or things like that... I will level up my Pikachu wherever I go!@#!# As for invizimals, sorta neat concept, looks like a horrible game though. The PSP just needs more titles. That's all it really needs. No pokewalk gimmick, or any of that crap. I bought the PSP because it is superior hardware. It could be a portable PS3, but won't sell without titles. It's needs to keep pumping out better games.As for the piracy thing. It's too late for them to fix that. They marketed a handheld to a more mature, and knowledgeable gamer...and we're gonna hack 'em. The NDS will always do well, because there is a market for 8 year olds. And even a market for 45 year olds. Both of which, probably don't know how to pirate. That's just how it is.
