New Nintendo game looks a lot like the DS game the big change is you can play up to 4 players which should be interesting but not such big news in my opinion.Tralier and more coming soon:Here are some images:

interesting. i've not always been a fan of this style of mario, the side scroller stuff. but i suppose with 4p co-op and on wii, i guess i won't be buying it... i'll just go to my friends place instead.
Should I feel bad if I want everything to become ice cream?

You don't have to play it co-op, but DAMN that looks like fun.Though I wonder why Mario, Luigi, and two Toads. Should have the Princess, then we'd have Super Mario 2 all over again.

i wonder if you can still have the other 3 bouncing around if your just playing single player?

It looks like they took a Super Mario Galaxy direction with this one with all the powers and suits looks awesome. NINTENDO OWNED E3 (in my opinion) I cant wait for the release later this year

Yay the new super mario bros on the Wii..with Co-op..i think thats pretty awesome actually, it'll be fun to play with the family..glad u hold the remote the classic way too. the properller suits look awesome, deffinately gonna purchase this when it comes out too!

Peach is unavailable cause she was kidnapped as soon as you started the game on the ds super mario bros. So it's possible that she was also kidnapped again... well that was in the ds version and yeah they should have peach or daisy as playable character. But I think she might be playable when you finish the game or rescue her from the final castle.Finally nintendo answered the fans request of additional power ups just like super mario 3. This game will be awesome, but I don't see any icons representing stored items though.I also heard a rumor that there will be more playable caracters.

This game looks pretty sweet. I might consider downloading it when it comes out. Personally, I loved the DS version of it and I find it great that it's coming out for the Wii. However, co-op mode might take me a while to get used to...

This should be good. If the multiplayer is anything like it is in LittleBIGPlanet, then it's a day one purchase for me. I just absolutely love games with good co-op, so a Super Mario Bros. game with good co-op really can't be beat, IMO

Bumping this back up because THEY PUSHED THE RELEASE DATE LATER! NO!!!! (Plus I didn't want to make a new topic on Super Mario Wii when there's a perfectly decent usable one already available) Supposedly it was supposed to come out this week but when I called the local gaming store I was told it wouldn't be out until the 15th. I want to play it so badly. It looks like it would be so much fun! Multiplayer is great for when you have friends over so I'm really excited.

Has nobody played this yet?This game is AWESOME, and I'm confounded as to why people keep talking about the DS version like it's the same thing with 4 players. I assure you, it's a completely NEW game in the same veins as the original Super Mario Brothers. A sort of Super Mario 5, if you will. The game itself is superb, but what really sells it is the 4 player co-op. I've only managed to get 3 player, (missing a fourth controller,) But I can say that I haven't had this much fun playing a video game in far too long.

Never actually beat this game before but i've gotten to world 5 on like 4 different friends' Wiis lol. When there is a player who plays this like a regular mario game, everyone hates him for going too fast lol. One of best games ever, also friendship breaker
