I don't prefere one above the other. Wireless, is obviously more practical to use, but the problem is that the battery can be troublesome, it's crap when you'd have to stop or pause if you're battery is dying.

Which you don't have with a wired controller. But then the cable can get strangled, or you'd accidentally pull it out etc. If you don't mind the batteries, then the choice is easily made.

Personally, I own the wired version, but only because I didn't had any choice if you'd played with a controller on pc, or you'd have to get an low-supported gamepad...

At my house, we have to have wireless or my older brother would end up destroying them all (Like with our original XBox). He starts beating on the controller whenever he messes up and blames it on the "faulty wiring" in the controller....

I am the conqueror of darkness.
I have saved the land of Hyrule countless times. The people of the Mushroom Kingdom worship at my feet. Gigyas, himself, is even afraid of my wrath.I use children and fat shroomers to do my bidding: Ridding the universe of all evil, no matter the odds. Labrynna, Johto, Kanto, Netopia, Electropia, and many other lands are in my debt, for I have used my courage, wisdom, and power to save them all from the clutches of darkness. But no, that is not all I have done. I have also saved other galaxies. I defeated Malak in all his rage and at the peak of his power, I turned Bastila back from the dark side after she had fallen. And I destroyed the Star Forge, that great omen of pure darkness. I am the Bane of Evil, and the Protector of Good.

In my opinion I prefer wireless as its easier if your constantly on the move (Military) but wired has its pro's for example broadband is faster through a wird connection as opposed to a wireless one :)

Wireless, but I prefer a wired controller. Better response and you don't have to switch batteries at bad times while gaming.

All of mine are wireless, but I have chargers that can be plugged into the xbox to make them wired and keep them alive if I'm to lazy to get batteries. Also, 2 of mine are re-chargable and that is what the cords were originally meant for

I like wireless. Buti hate changing batteries. I'd prefer wired if the cord was long enough

Wired, especially for Modern Warfare games.

The rumble is way much stronger & does not power down

I've gotta say wireless.  No cord, no accidents XD  and the wireless on the current and next gen consoles are so responsive there's not much of a down side except batteries but if you invest a little money in rechargeable battery packs you save money in the long run not having to worry about damaging wired controllers cable.

I use wired for my Xbox PC controller, I prefer having faster response time and not having to deal with batteries

I play wireless, but have a wired backup in case the batteries die (and I don't have batteries handy), easy to plug in and switch

I used Wireless but added a play and charge kit so its now wired this is a better method...until the battery goes flat.
