Nintendo has been making games for learning like Brain Age. The problem with that is you don't learn or do anything! I bought Brain Age myself and I did regret buying it. It supposed to find your smartness. The mini games don't help me with nothing! It was fun and Nintendo should just make it fun!

I'm really confused about your post. You said you regretted it but you thought it was fun?In any case, Brain Age isn't supposed to teach you anything, just train it. So you're supposed to make your brain think quicker by trying to get faster and faster at the minigames.

Brain Age is fun and educational at the same time. Those mini-games and puzzles are suppose to train your mind. Most times you don't realize it but there are plenty of games out there that train your reaction time and other alike skills. If you keep at something you do normally get a little better over time. Just some do it faster and at a bigger rate than others. Kinda like Guitar Hero. You don't start out playing Expert or Hard unless you are just good. Generally most people don't. Therefore you start on easy and you get better over time. It doesn't happen suddenly. You gradually get up there in skill level. Same goes with academics. The Brain Age game if you keep at it will slowly increase certain skill areas a tiny bit. It by no means is going to make you a genius though. I'm sure that is not what they are imposing.Sincerely,Dragon Spirit

I feel that puzzle games in general are merely brain exercises. They are design to trigger certain parts of your brain into thinking, they are not to teach you new subjects. It's to tune up the sharpness and speed your brain processes images, numbers and words.

I think they shoul focus on making some games more people want. It would be more profitable also.

These games are supposed to help make your brain work better and become more active! Plus, there are other games that help you learn different languages or cooking!

Some of the education games are really good except most of them are just too basic and small. They are not covered a major part of the subject.

Basically, games like Brain Age are made to train your mind, it's not made to teach you things and so on. It's made to train the alert-ness and IQ of your brains. I find it a good game during refreshment time at college, keeps my mind awake. XD

i think the "brain" games are really fun but i can't really tell if its improved my brain in any way. i know i enjoy it but i haven't really noticed any improvement. maybe because i focus too much about the fun side of it aha

I like to play Big Brain Academy, and I can actually feel my brain getting used. After a good session with it, my brain is exhausted!

There's apparently a game out there now that will help you train for your ACT or SAT. Maybe that'd be something the original poster would be interested in. >_>;I've tried playing my friend's Brain Age game and didn't enjoy it. I'd rather play Professor Layton to tease my brain.

I like the puzzle games. Professor Layton and the Curious Village was a lot of fun. After solving them you can discuss them with your co-worker and family members and stump them.

I am loving the posts of many OP's that I have read today, the language use "smartness", now that's just adorable.Anyway, Brain Age; yeah, it is proven to work on sharpening the minds of many adults, but unfortunately it is the opposite for children. So if you're a child, it's best to keep those sort of games on the shelf for a few years.

What about My Japanese Coach or any My Coach game? If you don't go to school and don't have the money to dish out on something like Rosetta Stone, this is the next available option! Try those out. We could all use a little Fun Facts, new languages, lose some weight, and stop smoking ALL AT THE SAME TIME!!! :br:

to:The major topic of this discussion about educational gamesMabe Nintendo game developers want to do something good for once. Since people always say that games are bad for u, they want to prove that some games could be good.
