I don't think there is 1 game better than all the rest.Maybe 1 best in it's genre but not the best game ever.I like Rome: Total War, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and the Empire Earth games.

The best game ever made was, and still is Deus Ex. No, not Deus Ex 2: Invisible War, which was utter SHITE, Deus Ex. The old 1999 Eidos classic. If you haven't played it, do so - now. Run to your store and buy a copy. YES, BUY A COPY. It's WORTH what it costs. Even more than that, even.

world of warcraft is amazing. so was warhammer dawn of war, star craft, and warcraft 3.

I guess it would be Half-Life for the PC.The crowbar is still a sign of the man of the future:Gordon Freeman.Counter-Strike's pretty good as well.House of the Dead 1 and 2 were good classics.

I played FF8 for the first time when i was around 10... I really love it. I finally downloaded a full working copy of the game a few months back and its still as brilliant as i remember it... RETRO GAMING DUDE!!!
