In 1983-1984 video games did something called "the crash". this was a time a year before the family com (NES) and that year was flooded with bad (ataris remake of pacman) and disappointing games. (E.T with only 6 weeks of it being made) what if this was the moment that video games stooped? what would we playing today and what would this site be like? (if it even existed???)

We would all be going on with our lives. If games ended there we wouldn't miss it at all. If this site did exist in this parallel universe you propose it's be a huge Atari, Coleco Vision, Intellivision emulation site. Plus the forums would reflect that.

we'd play with other things like hot wheels and yo-yos until 18 years of age where boys would still be riding cars and girls going shopping every 3 days.... other than young kids toys, virtually everything would still be the same. the only thing that changes is our ability to communicate and comprehend :awesome: we're all failures!

Wooh! DIFFICULT QUESTION buy great thread. If videogames suddenly seased to work, than this site would like a downloading site for board game tips. I would probably be playing marbles (my favorite old game) or board games. I have a glass marble for the marbles game. For the board games, i'd probably get cought playing life, sorry, battleship (is that a board game?). You'd probably find me playing the fun card games, like uno.

I'll probably end up playing Dungeons and Dragons, or maybe read a whole lot more than I already do. But I know whatever I do, I won't end up as a jock or Mr.Popular, even without games.

Well, if video game's did not exist, we wouldn't even be thinking about them right now. Actually, we wouldn't even be asking this question. If they didn't exist but existed in a person's head, this question could still be asked.

There would be a heck a lot more bookworms, people would get more addicted to card games and chess AND finding a suitable party for pen-and-paper RPG wouldn't be half as dificult as it is now.Still... I love it how it is right now

if video games discontinued before i actually started playing my snes around the age of 5 or 6, i would be outside a lot more often. i would be more athletic and more indian brown, rather than being a weird shade between white and brown. if they were discontinued after i was playing, i would hate life. i put at least 3 hours into playing everyday

very interesting topic i might add. if video games didn't exist then there would be less inspiration in the world and the only thing to look to would be well... natureso if they didn't exist they would find a way to make it back into existence.

We would be fine, because if they were never introduced to us, we wouldn't miss them. But if they just disappeared now, I would have a load of trouble trying to find something to do when it rains X3I've never been a TV person, but I guess I could roam the net... nah =3
