I got a nintendo Wii when it first came out expecting it to be amazing and have many fun game but about a year after owning it, i realized that nintendo has not released many good games. A lot of games aren't very fun or fun for short periods of time. This is when i thought to myself how the Wii could be amazing, but it isn't because all the games aren't taking advantage of the Wii's capabilities. Then i bought a ps3 =] best decision.any thoughts?

I have to agree with you that although Nintendo did nailed it with the mechanics of the Wii, they are lacking off solid titles that could REALLY perdure for this console. For what I have seen, Wii owners should only stick with the "classic" games from the franchises like Zelda Titles, Mario Titles, maybe just maybe Sonic Titles. From time to time there has been an amazing game though, like No More Heroes which really exploits the Wii and darn it is good. Resident Evil 4 does well its job too. I think that what Nintendo should do (I think they are finally becoming aware of that) they should remake classic titles like Punch Out, the First Zelda game probably, and how about Contra for the Wii.As for the PS3 purchase, I am considering getting one for Final Fantasy 13, but is it really that good the PS3 tell me about it.

Yes Wii had so much going for it, but then Nintendo shifted its focus to the granny gamer market and ignored 100% of their core fans. Nintendo Wii is going to go down in history as the biggest disappointment in gaming ever.

Really? It's gonna top Virtual Boy? . . . WOW!!! I think the Wii is great, but it is true that their game range does lack decent titles for hardcore gamers. SSBB did have a certain calibre to it but you can't really keep that going forever, can ya? Other titles that seemed to do really well are Wii Sports, CoD:WaW, M and S at the Olympic Games, RE4, maybe LoZ and Metroid P.3. In my personal opinion, i think some of the sonic titles as well as Alone in the Dark did fairly well. But again, range in games isn't as good as it did with other consoles. I think its purely because Nintendo are attracting a different audience as part of a 'Vermin Test'... Old Farts!!!If all proceeds as planned, then they can expand their market back to what they do best... and then Nintendo will once again bring an age of VG Reckoning to its competitors. Core gaming + all types of people = absolute domination... Nintendo is the closest to this by far!

If Nintendo had delayed the release date and focused on graphical capabilities, I'm sure it would have helped a lot! The Wii also lacks solid FPS games so it would be nice to see something like Halo, Resistance, or Gears of War come out on the Wii!

definitely was a letdown of a console. when I bought my wii, i was expecting revolutionary controls and an awesome game library that would date back to the NES days via Virtual Console.instead, the Virtual Console lineup is utter garbage, and the only good games released on it come out to celebrate the "100th" game released on VC or similar. it's a real pain having to wait for a bunch of trash to get released before a good game comes up. with the stupid waiting times and all, i might as well download roms.their launch lineup was decent and satisfying, but we haven't had any good "hardcore" games released since brawl. it's been over a year since that game's been released too. and the wiimote controls aren't as great as I expected them to be. it's kind of disappointing to know that i'm using my gamecube controller a lot more than the wiimote since it works better with most games.

The problem with the Wii is the controls are often difficult to use when motion sensing and anoying when not. a combination of the two like Marvel Ultimate Alliance is best but nobody seems to be able to get it right.

When competing against Sony and Microsoft, Wii had to face two problems: graphics and online.Nintendo was not really that big on graphics since they mainly cared about gameplay. But games like Super Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess easily fixed that problem. As for online, it's obviously Nintendo's fault for that. They really didn't focus on it that much and they may or may not regret it. If wii was the last Nintendo console, they yeah they wasted their potential. Otherwise they still have a chance to redeem themselves.

Nintendo's problem was, and still is, that they wanted to put out "relaxing and easy to get into" games like Animal Crossing. Peach_Zelda was right, 95% of VC is trash. Which is why I just download roms and inject them into wads. There needs to be a lot more hardcore games, or at least ones like SSBB which were at least fun. This problem has been predicted since Nintedo decided to go with Wii instead of Revolution.

I think Wii have started a new trend, before Wii I had never seen a game like it. It was fun at first, but when I play games that is more strategy then pewpew, it's just like any other console; sit and play. Can't say that the graphics are better or worse then PS3 or 360. It still have some great potential to expand if they offer better games, more unique like the console itself.

The Wii has definitely wasted it's potential in my opinion. The Wii could have been a revolution in gaming, it brought the fresh new idea of motion technology. The only reason that the Wii didn't completely destroy the competition is the fact that it just failed to carry it out right.-Graphics, Wii got destroyed-online, it's crap compared to what PS3 and 360 got-the actual motion controls need you to buy a peripheral, the motion sensing technology should've been better off the bat, and not need it in the first place (I'm talking about the Wii motion plus)-the games, honestly all the Wii games are either just raw cr*p or a great game (i.e SSBB) and there isn't enough of the good onesI believe that for sure it was supposed to lead a new age for gaming, after all just look at Sony making their new motion controller the Arc or whatever ( saw it on Gamespot) and I remember hearing something about project "Natal" or something from some other company.
