I love how so many people say crap like "Oh, it shouldn't be legal because it makes people lazy losers". That's a load a ****, people who smoke pot that are lazy were lazy before they started smoking pot, so I don't buy that 2nd grade argument for a ****ing second. I smoke pot, alot of it as a matter of fact, for both medicinal and recreational purposes, and I'm far from lazy. Hell, honestly, if I didn't smoke pot, my legs and back would be in so much pain that I wouldn't be able to do the work I do and would have to be stuck with some mediocre paying job that didn't require me to work so hard, or get paid as much.Plus, I have a very high level of stress and a very low tolerance for people's BS, so if I wdidn't smoke, I wouldn't be able to walk 10 feet outside of my house without beating the living **** out of the first person that looked at me funny, that's just how I am. What I'm trying to say is this, people who smoke pot (most of them anyways) don't do it to be "cool", and anyone that says they do it out of peer pressure is either lying or they're so weak willed that they have to live by other's examles rather than follow what they feel, and those types should both be shot.

I think it should be legalized. Marijuana has good uses. A firend of mine has been prescribed marijuana for his cancer and it has helped him. And also, I know someone who has severe anxiety and when they are on marijuana they are relexed and calm. They had been on prescription medication to try and control the anxiety and nothing worked. But the marijuana helped.. Plus the government could make a killing on taxing it.

Ehhh...very few people, at least the ones I know anyways, don't just do it for "fun", but you may have a point when it comes to the smaller kids who are impressionable and curious. As everyone knows by now, I'm gonna smoke it, legalized, decriminalized, or whatever.

Plus the government could make a killing on taxing it.

Yeah, and they could load it up with dangerous and addictive chemicals like they did with tobacco XD

Well, that's certainly stupid. XDThat means you'd have to ban caffeine, sugar and tobacco, among many other everyday products.

Maybe 30 years ago but the stuff available now is so strong that it can really wreck peoples lives so even as a smoker I'd say no.

No offense, but only an idiot would agree with the legalisation of an illegal, deadly drug. There's a reason why it's illegal to begin with.

EDIT: Every weed thread, I bring up tons of points for the legalization of pot, and no one ever reads them, so I'm not gonna do it again this time. No use in trying to change any minds.

Yeah,I know exactly what you mean. It's a lot of people arguing and arguing, but most don't even read the others' opinions and reasons.I am not gonna re-type all the reasons,it is already a circular discussion, but I think it should be legalisated and regulated, thus no more criminous sell it with others drugs added(to viciate one user),and financiate crimes.

The highlighted part made zero sense. It's not a deadly drug, give me even a single example how you came to that conclusion. I bet you can't.And if you look and the other weed thread (it's somewhere in this forum), I've listed, again and again, why it was made illegal in the first place, and it had NOTHING to do with health or safetly issues.

Maybe 30 years ago but the stuff available now is so strong that it can really wreck peoples lives so even as a smoker I'd say no.

How do you feel about decriminalization then?

It should be legalized because most people do it because its illegal and its somewhat of a thrill. So once its sold legally like tobbacco and cigarettes I doubt that many people would keep buying it.

I feel that marijuana should definitely be legalized in the U.S. It would solve countless problems and it is far less harmful than many think.I just gave a ten minute speech about this very topic a couple of days ago and I convinced nearly everyone in my class. It would reduce crime, just like when they repealed the Prohibition Amendment in the 1920's.It would reduce government spending on law enforcement.

if it could be properly taxed, it could solve all of our national debt problems

And lastly, as Diamos already stated, the legalization of marijuana could be used to help relieve our hefty national debt.

Hemp should be legal because it could provide food clothing and shelter. As well as paper. And power. The first model T ford was designed to run on hemp oil and the chassis was made of hemp. It had a better impact resistance rate than steel. Hemp could power the world. Also the hallucenogenic properties of weed are beneficial and recreational. It is much less dangerous than smoking or drinking. It allows patients who are on chemo to eat. The edible form is a better solution for ADD than ritilin. It can be given in doses that do not produce a high but do calm and allow the student to pay attention and learn. Hemp is illegal for many reasons. Dupont wanted his manmade polyesters to be successful and the hallucenogenic effects were a good excuse to affect this.

Weed should be legalized, tobacco is more addictive while beer does more damage to your body.

I think it should be legalized, not that I do it or anything. Well, I guess on occasion. But if it were legal, I think it would be more accepted in society, and people wouldn't be so against it, and everyone would smoke it, and chill. There wouldn't be as much violence and war.
