Why not, hippies would be happier, art teachers would be happier, I would be happier. But natural would be better cause most modern weed has toxic chemicals in it.

Legalize.Alcohol is far more powerful stuff and more addictive too and thats legal.The demonization of marijuana is utterly absurd.Of course here in Holland its sort of semi-legal.

I reckon it should be legalised for medicinal purposes and given to hospitals, but definitely not for general use (ie in a chemist store).

if it is made legal, it will be used much more responsibly, it can be compared to the prohibition of alcohol in the 20s

The reasons in this article are quite compelling, and considering how much it would save the Criminal Justice system (speaking in terms of the U.S.) not to mention how it would change the overcrowding in prisons, it does indeed sound like a good idea, and I'm apt to agree...The flaw with this article is it fails to show just how the pros outweigh the cons...Article: http://www.alternet....reporter/60959/

Compared to other drugs, marijuana is relatively harmless. I'm generally pretty libertarian about issues like drugs - i even think heroin should be legalized, as long as it has huge warnings all over it. (And strong warnings, not something about how you shouldn't use heroin if you're pregnant)

oops i forgot i wasnt done with the last one loli think people should be aloud to make the desicion to smoke it themselves i dont think thats the governments call because the second you make something illegal you also cause more crime the illegalization of marijuana made the crime rate go up. it should be legalized then sold like alchohol is and it should have all the legal mumbo jumbo on it like the sergen generals warning and all that jazz

Pot isn't really addictive. Certainly not to 'make crazy' extends. Alcohol is alot more addictive and causes far more abusive behaviour.Marijuana is often completely demonized, but in reality its really pretty tame.if it was legal, people might be addicted to it and abuse other people

Amen! I always say certain folks should get stoned more.Although smoking hash is common (and legal) practice in the mid east. I mean, these guys invented (And with alcohol forbidden there, regularly use) the bong, waterpipe etc. Kinda weird things get so violent there!i think hemp would make the world less violent cause most people would be stoned all the time

Yeah, it became America's cash crop shortly after it became illegal, which might lead some to believe that there's an agenda besides "oh this is harmful don't do it" behind making marijuana illegal. Making it illegal actually made the existing problems worse. I think I'm gonna move somewhere where nobody cares what you do as long as you're not hurting anyone.Also, all of those Christian fundies in Washington would all have a simultaneous aneurysm if marijuana managed to become legalized.if it could be properly taxed, it could solve all of our national debt problems

It doesn't really matter, apart from the fact that the govt. will put a tax on it and tries to get a lot of money out of it.Ah well, it's condoned where I'm from, so it has benefits.Do prefer games over drugs though .
