Not every game has a different Link, but their is more than one Link. We know for sure that their is more than one Zelda thanks to Zelda II for the NES.

Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask r the same link Wind Waker takes place after majoras mask bcuz it talks about the triforce of courage being shattered into 8 pieces after link left "this" dimension also oracle of ages and oracle of seasons i would imagine are the same link as well bcuz u can input a password b4 either game if u complete the other 1 that ur not gonna play... password found on seasons after completing input into ages and vise versa but the rest id have to say r completely different links

Why would wind waker be 100 years after OoT because he is a child in Wind Waker (also in OoT) but he grows to an adult in 7 years so I think the links must be in different timelines so be reincarnations. Some people say the first game wasn't Legend of Zelda and say it all started with the Atari game Adventure.

I believe that some of the Links are decendents of each other, but some of them are the same Link, but that depends on what games you refer to.

The story line is kinda wierd. The Basic storyline is that link is a kid bound by time. He survives only to become a hero and save the world when it is in dire need. This makes him kind of a reincarnation, the only way you know that he actually is the same person is the triforce symbol imprinted on him, the triforce of courage.

For the most part, all the Links of the Legend of Zelda series are the same person, the rare exceptions to this rule, are Legend of Zelda: WindWaker, and Legend of Zelda, Link's Awakening. Some argue that even even this link is the same, but he cannot be, for if you will take the time to notice, when you go to ancient Hyrule (which is underwater), you will see a large statue of the orginal Link, who we are quite blatantly told has died. Thus, it could not be the same person. In Link's Awakening, Link has lived with his father for most of his life, Wheras the Link from Ocarina of Time was raised in the Kokiri Forest, and is rumoured to be the (possibly illegitamate) son of the Queen of Hyrule. Once again, obviously different people.

The Links in each game are not the same Link (unless actually stated that it is the same Link, such as OoT and Majora's Mask), but they are just the representation of a hero. There is no "Link." There is just the idea of a hero that Nintendo chooses to represent as a sword wielding boy clad in green. As stated before, the Link in the Wind Waker is not the same Link as in OoT. WW takes plays many years later after the land has been flooded and the tradition is to dress in green like a hero that saved the land in the past (a Link from a different game).

I think it goes in three-four game cycles, though I'm not totally sure about that.

they are all the same character just a diffrent story but they start at diffrent times

Wind Waker takes place 100 years after Ocarina of Time. So all teh links are not the same. Unless link found the fountain of youth or something. =P

i like everyone's imput in this, but honestly i believe it's different reincarnations(unless stated otherwise of course)

so one told me that its not so much that its the same person, but its that the links are all the hero of (insert specific here ie time, winds etx) and that they have the triforce of courage in common. thats what makes them the same. yet different if you get me.

Link is obviously a reincarnation each time. What's wrong with you people? Geez, that's common knowledge. Sometimes it's the same one, like in OOT and MM, that's the same guy. But most of the time Link is somone different. Windwaker link is not OOT/MM Link, The Oracles Link is not the TP Link, etc. The only times the Link's are the same (that is verified) are in OOT/MM, Windwaker/Phantom Hourglass, and Zelda 1 and 2 are the same guy. These are for certain. ALttP and Link's Awakening aren't so clear and Minish Cap is completely different from any other Links and possibly was the very first Link. I might have missed one, I think. Also, TP Link is not the same as Adult Link because TP Link is still a teenager, supposedly. (Even tho Adult Link was only 17, which isn't really an adult. Well, in some countries it is.)
