here's mine (all are assumed to be level 100  with relatively decent stats and items, and all moves with maximum PP)Torterra, my primary tank (Earthquake: It's kinda essential, Razor Leaf: A decent grass move even at high levels considering T's attack value ad also the PP, Rock Slide: A rock move that helps get rid off fire, flying, bug and ice enemies... Tort's nemesis' essentially, Finally Leech Seed: Torterra is a tank, so stocking on HP continuously is effeicient and also allows a better item than shell bell and leftovers)Spiritomb, in the event the first tank falls, consdiering Spiritombs weaknesses and high defense values (Recover: Recovery moves are best used on high HP or high defense pokemon, Shadow Ball: Chance to reduce enemy Sp. Def makes Spiritomb's job easier, Psychic: Fighting types are Spiritomb's only weakness [after using foresight or odor sleuth] so this move plus confusion makes up for it, Finally Ice Beam: Ice moves are really great to wield, as the can freeze and super effective 5 pokemon types, usually the hardiest of types e.g. Dragon, Ground, Flying)Gyarados, an absolute machine (Ice Fang: Since it can't punch, Ice Fang is the next best option [Remember, Gyarados does not play Sp. Atk very well], Earthquake: Playing on its Atk value, it doubles to be effective against many types, including Electric, its nemesis, Surf: Ok Surf maybe a Sp. Atk but plays well for double battles and Gyarados' water element, Finally Dragonbreath: Its hard to come by water types with decent paralysis skills :gs:)Rhyperior, another powerhouse (Ice Fang/Punch: You need those ice moves, Thunderbolt: Do I need a reason why, Earthquake: It's bare basic, At the mo ive got megahorn but i want a flying or psychic move to counter fighting types but it looks like Protect is my best bet)Raichu, it has surf (Surf: It came from a special edition, Discharge: Powerful for double battle kinda like surf, Protect: Well with all these Earthquakers... Finally Iron Tail: I wanna get rid off it trying to get a better move :D)Crobat, its not my best, but the best for now (Cross Poison: You'd be a fool not to get this one, Steel Wing: Don't want Ice and Rock guys hurting me now, Crunch: Takes care of the psychics, Finally Aerial Ace: Coz it works... all the time!)If you haven't noticed by now, there are few things of this team that make it great1. It is setup for double battles, but it can also handle single battles too.2. The movesets for tag teams are designed to work together effectively.3. The movesets are designed to attack enemy types that are super effective to the user.4. The team's moves and pokemon types are dispersed and should readily attack any enemy fairly easily.Give me your opinion, did I do my homework or not?

might i suggest that people refrain from presenting legendaries and that they discuss more thoroughly what each pokemon is intended to do. I can only gather a vague identity from deebrown11's post.

It's a good team, but it's not the best. There are many flaws using Gyarados's surf and Dragonbreath(it's supposed to be D-rage), for Example. It doesn't have very good Sp Attk and double battles cut surf's power. Even with the STAB it wouldn't do much. There's no reason to have Rypherior use Thunderbolt, nearly all the pokemon that are weak to it are much faster, and you stumble by playing on it's terrible Sp Attk. even if you scarf it, it's messed. Torterra is nice, Raichu, not so much. Iron tail on Raichu, can't escape it though can you? Raichu's base Atk and spAtk are the same, so it all depends on the nature. Modest is best, and I'd trade iron tail for a focus blast.

I loved Pokemon Platinum! My team was very well thought-out and organized, so beating the gyms and the Elite Four was very easy.My Torterra was Level 81 after beating the Elite Four. Knowing Crunch, Earthquake, Leaf Storm and Cut, (I would use Cut against Bug-types or Dark/Flying-types.), I only had trouble on the Snowpoint City Gym Leader, because her Froslass knew Psychic and Blizzard (which hit every time). My Lucario was Level 62 after beating the Elite Four. Knowing Aura Sphere, Extremespeed, Flash Cannon, and Rock Climb, beating the Elite Four was so fun with him. My Floatzel was Level 64 after beating the Elite Four. Its speed and defense were amazing! It knew Waterfall, Surf, Ice Beam and Aqua Jet. Flint didn't even stand a chance! My Blaziken was Level 71 after beating the Elite Four. Its powerful Blaze Kicks, Flamethrowers and Fire Punches crushed the first of the Elite Four. Hehehe! My Snorlax was Level 70 after beating the Elite Four. Its Gyro Ball gave me the advantage because of its low speed, and its Giga Impact could take out the toughest of foes.My Girantina was Level 69 after beating the Elite Four. Its Ominous Wind blew away anything I came across. But my side Pokemon was Spiritomb. Spiritomb and Sableye are the only two Pokemon with no weakness. Many people hack into Spiritomb, not Sableye (Spiritomb has higher stats), and give it Shedinja's Wonder Guard ability, thus rendering it incapable of taking damage!>=)

Ok so my team, After beating the Elite four was (assume all lvl 100)Espeon-Red Ruby: Mild, Max IV, Spattk @ 29: Psychic, Shadowball, Grassknot, Swift: Swift was once Morningsun, but it rendered useless in Wifi battles since it was easy to damage it. I normally gave him a twisted spoon, because it was fast enough to take on whatever, and those who it couldn't out run I saved for this dude...Dragonite-Dracoboss: Adamant, Max IV, Attk @ 30: Dragon claw, Firepunch, Aquatail, Earthquake: This guy was a monster! Too bad it was very slow, though it could survive alot, it was a very fragile Dragonite because I focused on its speed and attack. I fixed the problem with a Choice Scarf, "Surprise! You're dead..." Dragonite is terrible against Defensive walls like Skarmory or whatever so...Lucario-Rio: Mild, Max IV, Spattk @ 28: Aurasphere, Shadowball, Dragonpulse, Flash cannon: This guy could take out almost any dude with sheer power, and to boost I would give him the lame blackbelt for the STABed ultra bonus. He was a versatile killer, but the most versatile would definately have to be...Electivire-Twinvolt: Adamant, Max IV, Attk @ 30: Thunderpunch, Firepunch, Earthquake, Icepunch: I eventually switched Firepunch into BrickBreak because fire is only good at taking out Grass, Ice and bugs. Ice for Grass, Ice is usually paired up with water or ground, so Thunder or Earth could take it. Bugs are just plain weak, one STABed thunderpunch would be enough. A muscle band to add to the lethality and all. This was as far as my team went, the other two are still in the making...Blaziken-Blaze: Lonely, Naughty, Adamant (prefered), Max IV, Attk @ 28-31: Blaze kick, sky uppercut, Earthquake, Aerial Ace: It's still in the making but this should be expected of it. I can give it charcoal and tada!Weavile-Stalker: This is too boring, Adamant, Max, Attk @ 28-31: Nightslash, BrickBreak, Icepunch (Let's just say I hate Lopunny), Poison jab: I'd give him blackglasses to add to his suave look. And that's about it.I started this team about 2 months ago, When they hatched I would battle gastly at the haunted house, while holding power lens, and pokerus. It would max it's sp attk EP's before lvl 14. Power anklet and starly-staravia at below the ghost tower at Solaceon for speed, and power bracer and bibarel for attk, same place. then I would trade it to my cousins diamond on her DS and give it EXP share, when it's tough enough, by around lvl 50, I'd give it the Lucky Egg, and boost to 100. Trade=50% EXP boost, EXPshare=50% boost: Trade and EXPshare= 100% boost, so 1000 EXP would be 2000 EXP. Lucky Egg= 100% boost: Trade and LuckyEgg= 150% x2= 300% boost or something. Ok look, I don't know if it's right but still, fighting Cynthia's Garchomp: trade, lucky egg, I got around 7000-8000 EXP points so HA!And this led to my best team ever.... I wasted my time... :P

The WonderGuard Spiritomb is not invincible. A person who knows this would just Foresight, odor sleuth it, and Super Effect it with a good fighting hit. It may take two turns but it can do it. Especially if you don't expect a fighting type to attack a ghost, thus you would try to fight the psy/ghost types with your dark pulse, or ominous/ silver wind, which would not do much against a fighter.

okay cool. i don't remember where i got d-breath from, i thought i put in d-rage <3 yeah i obviously can't remember crap, coz it was aqua tail not surf XD well if rhyperior could learn thunderpunch, i wouldn't have thunderbolt. its only there so i can counter water types. im still skeptic about focus blast pp, but its there now. i still prefer iron tail but i do lack fighting moves.to the last guy, yes there are suggestions. swampert being a water/ground type, give it sludge bomb or ice beam if you haven't already. it is type advantageous. and get rid of salamence, its a horrible dragon type XD get a better one like kingdra.some silly people can't post :P

Alright, well my platinum team is the following*:*NOTE: All are Level 100 with decent stats in their respective areas...1) Kingdra (Male)EVs: 24 HP / 252 Atk / 232 SpdTrait/Nature: Sniper / Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk)Move Set: Dragon Dance, Outrage, Waterfall, SubstituteItem: Lum BerryA good Dragon Dancer should be a must for any team (in my opinion) so that is the main point of Kingdra: Dragon Dancing Death. A physical sweeping Kingdra is a threat to most people, but one with Dragon Dance (although, now I think about it, they usually all do) is particularly evil to face. Substitute is quite fun to use, and often necessary as Will-o-Wisp or Thunder Wave often shuts down Kingdra, so it sees a fair amount of play.2) Magmortar (Female)EVs: 84 Atk / 172 Spd / 252 SAtkTrait/Nature: Flame Body / Mild (+SAtk, -Def)Move Set: Lava Plume, Thunderbolt, Hidden Power [Ice], Cross ChopItem: VariesA Mixed Sweeper who is primarily a Special Sweeper, Magmortar is basically an all-around firebomb. Lava Plume, Thunderbolt and Hidden Power counter most things that Magmortar takes on, and Cross Chop is especially useful against Blissey and the like (who I encounter an annoyingly high amount!). The item always changing, I can never really choose which one to leave on her...3) Gallade (Male)EVs: 236 HP / 252 Atk / 20 SDefTrait/Nature: Steadfast / Adamant (+Atk, - SAtk)Move Set: Close Combat, Psycho Cut, Night Slash, Thunder WaveItem: Life OrbTwo physical Sweepers for my team has always been a must in my eyes, thus was born my Gallade (after a great deal of getting a damned Adamant Ralts!). Thunder Wave is to halve opponent's speeds, boosting Gallade's chance at butt-kicking, and the other attacks are either STAB-awesome-moves or (Night Slash) plain cool. 'Nuff said. I sometimes switch Thunder Wave with Swords Dance, but his attack stat is gigantic anyway so... yeah, overkill when I do...4) Skarmory (Female)EVs: 252 HP / 96 Atk / 140 Def / 20 SpdTrait/Nature: Keen Eye / Impish (+Def, -SAtk)Move Set: Roost, Stealth Rock, Whirlwind, Drill PeckItem: LeftoversSkarmory is my Physical Wall and she has a few interchangable moves that I can employ; namely Brave Bird over Drill Peck and Spikes over Stealth Rock. All these are dependant on my mood usually, same with if I'm thinking a foe may use Magnezone, then it's a Shed Shell over Leftovers. Anyway, she is just a stall for fun usually, Drill Pecking foes who switch in...5) Alakazam (Male)EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtkTrait/Nature: Synchronize / Timid (+Spd, -Atk)Move Set: Psychic, Focus Blast, Shadow Ball, Grass KnotItem: Expert BeltMy main Special Sweeper, he focuses on maximum Offensive capabilities in order to eliminate most threats. Focus Blast is to take down Dark types who negate the STAB-edness of Psychic. Shadow Ball and Grass Knot are for some more random Super-Effective Hits on some folk, and nobody really expects an Alakazam to be holding Grass Knot. Ever.6) Dusknoir (Female)EVs: 252 HP / 52 Def / 204 SDefTrait/Nature: Pressure / Impish (+Def, -SAtk)Move Set: Thunderpunch, Fire Punch, Will-o-Wisp, Pain SplitItem: Leftovers usually... VariesApparently, everyone I come across and their mother has Umbreon these days, but nobody can deny it's sheer skill in Special Walling, so I decided to go for Dusknoir instead, to be different! It's kind of a Mixed Wall though, so I needed to put in a fair bit of EVs into its SDef over its Def to maximise its effectiveness in the Standard environment. I also ignored any STAB attacks for her, as she's mainly there to hold the fort while I set up some bad stuff on the foe. Who cares about hitting first when I can mess with them anyway, right?

I love pokemon games started with yellow, gold, emerald, fire red,and platnium now my team Empoleon: Surf,Blizzard,Hydro cannon, and iron defenseMy Empoleon I love her so with the high sp.att I killed anyone who challenged me in the game and on wi-fi...because of steel I had to EV train the Hp and,the def To really give ppl a problem in the battle, had surf becouse its a strong att. Blizzard because I like beating on frozen pokemon hydro cannon come on it kind of a last resort move for me and last but not least iron defense because of the def after EV training it...The held item was a choice specs I thk I could of done better with its held item but it worked.Drapion: Crunch,Cross poison, ice fang, and poison jabMy sec fav now here is the real beast for the team for me I had to EV train its att.So It could do some real damage once that's done your set Drapion won't let you down killing all the pokemon you battle against...Now Crunch is for the psychic and other dark types and ice fang is for the rock, flying and mostly ground because its Drapions weaknest poison jab becouse it poison's the foe's pokemon and last but not least poison cross its a strong att. And has a high critical hit and that's why he's a beast...the held item was a scope lens. Ooo yeah it makes a good combo if the Drapion's ability is sniper becouse poison cross has high crit hit and scope len raises the crit and sniper rasie the damage...it work trust me..Garchomp: Dragon rush,Earthquake,Flametrower, and OutrageMr.Garchomp this one is the power house of the team with all that speed and att. How can he not be good just EV train his att. And you don't have to worry about him on the battle field much he'll stop anything in his way becouse of all that att.I am a big fan of dragons so I love garchomp I think he's better then dragonite the onlt thing dragonite has over him it that he can fly but garchomp would thrash dragonite ok ok...dragon rush its pretty strong does decent damage to all types,Earthquake is like everyone fav move just got to have does a lot of damage to pokemon that don't fly,Flametrower kills grass, ice, and burns thing and last but not least Outrage all dragon pokemon should be able to learn it its so strong its just the after effect makes your pokemon stupid lol but with the EV training I gave my Garchomp outrage kills almost anypokemon on the first turn..held item dragon fangSpiritomb: Hypnosis,Dream Eater,Dark Pulse, shadow SneakI don't know where I went wrong I was so happy to get one but mine sucked but it had its moment where it kicked ass but I didn't give up on it with no weakness its a hard pokemon to kill with one att. But with low speed it doesn't matter it can be kill on the second turn anywayz attacks...First Hypnosis and Dream Eater no questions asked you kno why we use this att. Simply to steel the foes Hp and to heal yours Dark Pulse its a prettl strong att. For Spiritomb to have to a good amount of damage to all pokemon and Shadow sneak simply a finsher mover becouse it goes first all the time...held item big root for the Dream Eater att. takes more hp from the opponent.Magnezone: Lock on,Discharge,Zap Cannon,Hyper BeamHum from Magnemite to Magnezone I love this pokemon because of the high sp.att the only thing I didn't like was the low speed that magnezone has so I EV trained it now it can keep up with some other pokemon but not all of them but its still a good pokemon with that high sp.att now attacks...Lock on a good att for ppl that like to lower accuracy if its successful that next attack won't miss Discharge its a strong attack does good damage to flying and water pokemon and in a double battle it will hit your pokemon and the opponents pokemon Zap Cannon its a legendary electric attack that only a few pokemon can learn it almost never hits unless you us lock on first and if it doesn't kill the opponents pokemon it will paralysis the opponent and hyper beam plain and simple a strong attack that takes a lot of energy to use your pokemon will need to reachrage after using...held item magnet powers up electric type moves...Pidgeot: Fly,Roost.Air slash,Giga ImpactPidgeot looks better then Staraptor to me there for he's better lol but he's a good bird...but like all flying pokemon that you get at the beginning he suck at the end where you fight stronger pokemon it just takes to long to find a decent flyer anywayz att. Fly to get from here and there its good to avoid one attack but you'll get smacked but the next attack,Roost this move is to heal your damage bird becouse it got damaged it heal a lot of hp though I like it,Air slash pretty strong to in a double batter hit both of the opponents pokemon,Giga Impact I just had to have a move that does a lot of damage to the opponent just like huyper beam it neds a lot of energy to use and your pokemon will need to rest after you use it...held item Focus Sash because it leaves the pokemon with 1Hp left and I can just use Roost to get hp back...AND THAT'S MY TEAM PLZ TELL ME WAT YOU THINK OF THEM AND I FORGOT TO SAY THERE ALL ON LV 100. NOW Empoleon =100 =Choice SpecsDrapion =100 =Scope LensGarchomp =100 =Dragon FangMagnezone =100 =MagnetSpritomb =100 =Big RootPidgeot =100 =Focus Sash
