So a few months ago, I found out that there was a PSP 3000. But it was $300. I have a casual job, which is only $10 an hour, 'cause I'm still a student. What are the advantages of a PSP compared with a DSi, or anything along the same lines? Are there any problems with it?Is it just like a DS, or not?If you answer, thanks in advance.

i wouldn't suggest a 3000 in the least bit over priced and as of now not many more featureswhen you can buy a psp 1000/2000 for arround a $100-$150 and then being able to hack itand feature wise psp has a lot more and doing it better only downside really is battery lifeand dsi is targeted at kids while psp ha more adult titles and when hacked has more emulators and a lot more app'sAnd esp when dissidia comesout is going to be the time to get a psp

$300? Either you're getting ripped off or you're referring to a non-USD currency. All PSPs (including the PSP-3000s), are hackable, BTW.

Yeah $300 USD is waaaay too much for a PSP. You should look around more. As VG said, they're not that expensive. They're all hackable. And it is definitely worth getting.

Am I missing something? Because from last I heard you could only hack the PSP-3000 to the extent where it could play homebrew, but not iso's, is that what you meant, Sir VG? And what about those mobos for PSP-2000 that couldn't be hacked? But yes buy a PSP, you can find used ones at gamestop / amazon / ebay for about 130-150 bucks.

I bought a PSP 3000. It only cost me $169.99 USD. I bought it at target. The PSP 3000 is hackable, I researched it to make sure, and PSP 3000 have a better screen color contrast and some other little differences that are improved from PSP 2000.

YAYAYAYAY I can hack mine.Thanx for creating this thread.I think it depends whether you are a hardcore gamer or a passive fellow who'd just like to do something nice on a bus ride home.Raise pokemon or shoot up people Crash and burn with insanely great graphics.PSPs are amazing compared to a DS.The graphics are stunning.Old PSPs are nicer though.

I perfer my PSP to my DS. The graphics are a lot like playing a PS2, but the DS graphics are more like the Super Nintendo. So if you make your choice by how the games look PSP is much better. The DS and DSi have a lot more games come out than the PSP, but a lot of those are the games that are sim games for younger girls like playing a babysitter. PSP has more RPG and action games than the ds does. The PSP can also play music and videos, the DS can't. The DS though has many more games you can play through wifi with other people. Me and my friend loved playing games together on the DS even though we are ten hours from each other. We had a variety of games to choose from, but with the PSP we could only find one game to play together.I would recommend the PSP over the DSi, because of graphics and the type of games. But if you want to play games with other people then the DS is better. I hope that helps!

I perfer my DS to my PSP. For some reason I was so over to get a PSP but when I got it I was simply like 'Is That It'. I would say go for a DS, or a DSi or even a DSiL or whatever they call it, if you come from Japan.

DS isn't the same as PSP which is why the PSP is way way better. But for the DSI it has the same applications as the PSP which are surfing the internet, versing people online, getting music and pictures. PSP is still way better than the DSI because it has 1. the best graphics. 2. it can play movies. 3. Best action games which DSI doesn't have. 4. much longer battery power (although it takes a while charge it up but still worth it though). So yeah, the PSP is sooooo much better than DSI. And yeah it's way worth buying.

Psp is alright. I have 2 nds-s. Imo, getting a psp 3000 isn't worth it, get one of the older versions and hack it. Unless you're willing to fork out $$$ for all the original games..

I would always advice someone to get a PSP rather than a DSi though the DSi has a camera it would be better for you to just but a regular camera and a 2000 PSP or sumthing since the DSi doesn't really have a good camera but it has funny features.
