Well I had older brothers and had everything from Atari's to Genesis but my favorite game since I was little have been Chrono Trigger for the SNES. I played it over and over again. I could never win the game, I think I got tired of it before I would finish. I finally completed the game on a ROM about 7 years ago.I also loved Super Mario Brothers for the SNES. I am very excited about the new one for the Wii and DS because I loved the original so much as a kid. When the Sega Genesis was huge the cable company had a special plug in you could use that had like 20 games on it, and the games changed every month. It was the neatest thing. So I got to play a lot of different games on the Genesis. You could only save one game though so whatever I played I wasn't allowed to save because my brothers were using the save. From before then when it was Nintendo I loved playing this one Barbie video game. That was a great childhood memory.

My first game was Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo, but it wasn't mine. It was older cousin's. And I remember playing the Gameboy Color. But I don't remember what games I had except Tetris. But I eventually gave that away to my cousins in Vietnam. And my first game on the PS2 was Dynasty Warriors 4. That's what really got me into video games. I think it was mostly because of the graphics and the choices you had between many different characters to fight with, all of which had different weapons.

Assuming everyone here began gaming some time before the PS2/GC/Xbox generation, what was your childhood like in regards to gaming? Your first console? First game to ever play? To beat? Game you and your friends spent the most time on?I didn't actually start gaming until I was older - I inherited my late uncle's SNES, Genesis, and GameBoy all at once, so I guess those are my first three platforms. Super Mario World was the first game I ever played and beat; my mom and I would play it together while I was out of school, and we would call her sister's husband when we got stuck. Remembering the days before strategy guides and online walkthoughs is making me nostalgic, but anyway...you?

I do not know about it.

i started off with a gameboy and i grew up with pokemon crystal

Wow. That's Really Sweet Of You.

First game that I played which I was very addicted to was Pirates on the old Commodore 64. I still remember the quests and the sword duels to win the girl (of course at the age I played, I didn't understand why you had the win the girl, it was just a goal to be accomplished in the game).

My first console was the Nintendo. I remember waking up on my 7th bday and seein this huge box next to my bed, and it was the system. I also liked it because at the time, my mom and my aunt would play Mario 3 with me.

My first platforms were a Genesis, Dreamcast and Game Boy Advance. First games were Sonic 2, Sonic Adventure and Sonic Advance. Then I got a GameCube and PS2, though the one I remember most is the Genesis. Sonic 2 was perfection to me. But the game I remember most was Ninja Baseball Bat Man on the arcade machine. A very fun beat'em up.
