The first gaming system I ever owned was a Gameboy Color. The games I can remember that I had were Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, Frogger 2, and Donkey Kong Country, though over time I added some more to my collection. I spent many fun hours playing those games. I was also into the Harvest Moon series back then, although I never owned any of those games until I bought Friends of Mineral Town for the GBA.

I honestyl really grew up with the Zelda, metroid, donkey kong and mario dating back to the NES days. I think everytime anyone sees a new zelda, mari, metroid and hopfully one day another donkey kong its been a while though.... We all get so excited... cause we think of the days when we were little kids rolling into barrles, slicing chickens, grapplebeaming walls and double jumping goombas.... its great! I really do look foward to zelda more then other games no doubt... Zelda makes me buy nintendo systems its just an amazing tale but when its over it is a ****ty feeling cause you know its time to wait another 4 years.... Thats why i loved majoras mask! i only had to wait 18 monhts O_O I will never forget that nintendo :(

I've been playing video games since I was, like, 3 or 4, so I have absolutely no idea what my first played game was. It was probably an Atari game. The first game I beat was the first Mario on NES.

Pokemon is, as so many people have pointed out, very popular, and yes I played it growing up. But as to the game I loved the most? Hands down, it has to be StarFox 64. Still play it to this day, on my N64 that I made sure to keep safe.

Assuming everyone here began gaming some time before the PS2/GC/Xbox generation, what was your childhood like in regards to gaming? Your first console? First game to ever play? To beat? Game you and your friends spent the most time on?I didn't actually start gaming until I was older - I inherited my late uncle's SNES, Genesis, and GameBoy all at once, so I guess those are my first three platforms. Super Mario World was the first game I ever played and beat; my mom and I would play it together while I was out of school, and we would call her sister's husband when we got stuck. Remembering the days before strategy guides and online walkthoughs is making me nostalgic, but anyway...you?

Need for Speed Porsche unleashed was my favourite game as a kid, it got me into being a racing fanatic and one heck of a racer!
