Donkey Kong Country. Such a great series until the N64 (might be good I never finished it) and Jungle Beat and all that I don't even know. New Wii version brings me back though.

Assuming everyone here began gaming some time before the PS2/GC/Xbox generation, what was your childhood like in regards to gaming? Your first console? First game to ever play? To beat? Game you and your friends spent the most time on?I didn't actually start gaming until I was older - I inherited my late uncle's SNES, Genesis, and GameBoy all at once, so I guess those are my first three platforms. Super Mario World was the first game I ever played and beat; my mom and I would play it together while I was out of school, and we would call her sister's husband when we got stuck. Remembering the days before strategy guides and online walkthoughs is making me nostalgic, but anyway...you?

My first game console was table tennis which looked like a small tv with a knob on each side of it and all you did was move these stick like pieces controlled by the knobs to hit a square like small ball back and forth to one another. Whew, that took me wayyy back, lol!

How to begin my epic story...I was born in 199... Too far back... Around the age of 3 I began gaming with my dad's SNES. I had played Killer Instinct, Stunt Racer FX, King Arthur's World and Golf. Around the age of 4, my nan got one of those cheap pirate 120000 in 1 systems. I spent all my time up there pwning Goombas on Super Mario Bros, shooting ducks in Duck Hunt, shooting targets in Hogan's Alley, jumping lions through rings of fire in Charlie's Circus and shooting fireballs out of my 3rd eye in Mitsume Ga Tooru, imaginatively named 3 Eye Boy.I would define that pirate as the game system I grew up with. Well, grew into my adolescent years anyway.Around age 5, my dad got a top of the line, brand spanking new PS2. The thing was as heavy as a brick and twice as large. I wasted my afternoons playing Jak and Daxter, just that tutorial level over and over again, seing as I didn't have a memory card.I got a large collection of games over the years, but i'd have to say Jak and Daxter has got to be the game that defined my gaming life so far. However, that gun still holds a very special place in my heart, and I name it the CONSOLE that defined my gaming life.

MY first console was NES and my favourite game was Contra, as for how much I played it, I got to a point where I can beat it without losing a life as a 6 year old, that should say enough.

My first ever game was Super Mario World on the SNES. It was totally wicked. Couldn't ever figure out how to fly, though...

I remember watching my older brother play games all day long. He would play Zelda OoT N64, Megaman PS1, Golden Eye N64(which i took part in), and all sorts of fighting games like old school Street fighter. Funny cause now Zelda and megaman are like the first games i search for in new consoles. Golden eye (007) was fun as a first person shooter but kind of got old. And as for the fighting games, i never really got as good as mybrother. Even now, the only time ive beaten him was in Bloody Roar 4, because i played it for like 3 days and he played it for like an hour.

I remember playing video games at my cousin's house. I always loved to play battletoads, golden eye 007, and house of the dead 2. Good times. :channel:

The Pokemon series, of course.I grew up with Pokemon Yellow, and Pokemon Crystal for the GBC. It's funny because I played them through emulators as well. Haha.

Let's see... My first console was the almighty N64, and my first game ever was Super Mario 64. I remember how I accidentally deleted my dad's 100% save file for it. Shortly after, I moved on to my favorite game of all time, Banjo-Kazooie.

It really depends with me. I would always play my friends N64 but the first system that I actually got was the PS1. For the N64 I would play Super Smash but the game I would have to say as my actual first game to play and love was Marvel VS Capcom. One of the greatest games that I have played from my childhood days.

I'm not sure whether it was my GameBoy Color or my Nintendo 64, but the first game I played was Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
