My first cosole was the Sega Genesis. I got Castlevania: Bloodlines with it, and that set me down the path of horror games forever. Splatterhouse set was soon to follow Castlevania.

I started off by playing Super Mario Bros. and Tetris, until the advent of the SNES. By that point, I was able to play my first owned video games, Super Mario World, and TMNT IV: Turtles in Time...

I started early in 1982 (I was 8 years old) on a Microbee 16Bit computer with a Pac-Man rip off (I think it was called Ghost Muncher) and Russian roulette (I still had the computer and games - on tape- until I moved 2 years ago and my wife told me to throw them out!). I loved Donkey Kong (Orange Duel Screen) and Donkey Kong Junior hand helds as wel as a few other simple ones, long before my cousin got an Atari with Pong that I played during the school holidays.pc_doc

Well, for me, there's always the classic Super Mario Bros. I STILL haven't beaten that game, and I've been playing it for about 20 years! And there's also the original Legend of Zelda. As far as gameplay and challenge goes, I'd pout those two up against any of today's games, and that includes their sucessors!

My first console, if you could even call it that I got from my dad and it was some sort of thing you plugged into the tv that played tennis with 2 sticks and a strange square ball, I think it was Grandstand or something from the 70's. I kinda inherited it when he stopped playing when I was about 3 which quickly was followed in quick succession by a Sinclair Spectrum and a NES (I still own my NES).

I had this really old Godzilla game for the NES; I actually downloaded it a couple weeks back and tried to play. Hardest damn game I've ever played! Somehow I beat it when I was 6, now I can't get past the first level lol

wow, i must say that a very big part of my childhood are the videogames. I remember the day i got my snes, my first video game console. I used to spent all day playing super mario world like a maniac. The day the snes broke i was isolated, but luckly some time after that my father bought me a n64, which i still have today. The n64 made me fall in love of videogames, super mario 64 and super smash bros.. i just adored those games, they made my childhood..geez talking about the old times made me kinda sad :awesome:
