First game was Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets, but my fave growing up were the Pokemon games. I started kinda late with the whole gaming thing, so I grew up with Sapphire.

Assuming everyone here began gaming some time before the PS2/GC/Xbox generation, what was your childhood like in regards to gaming? Your first console? First game to ever play? To beat? Game you and your friends spent the most time on?I didn't actually start gaming until I was older - I inherited my late uncle's SNES, Genesis, and GameBoy all at once, so I guess those are my first three platforms. Super Mario World was the first game I ever played and beat; my mom and I would play it together while I was out of school, and we would call her sister's husband when we got stuck. Remembering the days before strategy guides and online walkthoughs is making me nostalgic, but anyway...you?

My first console was the NES, it seems like such a clunker now days but it really was revolutionary in its own time. The first game I ever beat was Super Mario Bros. It was our first(and for awhile our only) game for the NES and me and my sister played it endlessly to finally reach bowser and put a pounding on that crazy koopa king. The game I spent the most time on as a child has got to be Mike Tysons punch out. Decades later this is still one of my biggest gaming regrets. Never beating Mike Tyson himself. Sure we got to him, but me and my friends and family could never put down the champ. Maybe we should have bit his ear off when Mario wasn't looking? :black:

my first console was an SNES... the first game that i got deeply, deeply into was super mario bros. 3 when i was about 4 years old. i got super mario all-stars, but i don't think i even touched any of the other games, really, until i finished super mario bros 3.then, later, i got my n64, and i had a game boy, as well. i got a game boy color and a GBA, too, but i don't know why.. i was never really into them. i only ever got ONE GBA game, and it was pinobee, right at the GBA launch. and then i never played it again. i was really, REALLY into pokemon red when it came out, though, so my GBC got a lot of play. then i played pokemon gold, too, but not nearly as much.for the n64.. i played a LOT of turok 2, zelda: ocarina of time, super mario 64, banjo-kazooie, and mario kart 64. i only had those games, and like, clay fighter and donkey kong 64, too. but i played a ton of super smash bros and goldeneye at my friends' houses.
