My first console would be the regular nintendo.. Which means.. Mario would be my first ^^ I've been playing Mario every time when I was a child. So Mario has been in my life ever since then.. I love being a kid! Still!

Assuming everyone here began gaming some time before the PS2/GC/Xbox generation, what was your childhood like in regards to gaming? Your first console? First game to ever play? To beat? Game you and your friends spent the most time on?I didn't actually start gaming until I was older - I inherited my late uncle's SNES, Genesis, and GameBoy all at once, so I guess those are my first three platforms. Super Mario World was the first game I ever played and beat; my mom and I would play it together while I was out of school, and we would call her sister's husband when we got stuck. Remembering the days before strategy guides and online walkthoughs is making me nostalgic, but anyway...you?

for me my 1st console was the snes but i prefered sonic on my brothers mega drive and master system

My 1st game I ever played was LOZ back when it first released. My parents bought me a Nes and a few games. The other series I remember from my childhood the most is Castlevania,Mega Man,Kid Icraus,Contra,Dragon Warrior,Final Fantasy and by 91 I went nuts and played every genre. Ive been gaming since 1986 and I review games for a living now =D Best job ever!

First console was a Genesis (or Mega Drive, since I live in Europe), and I started with Sonic the Hedgehog. However, I haven't played that game long enough when I was young to say that "I grew" with it. I did grow with its direct sequels, though, and I played (and still play) them for a looooong time.

My first game (when I was 3) was Chess. Yep, good ol' boardgames. When I was 4 we got a Sega Genesis and I remember playing some Disney game with Mickey n stuff. Also got a gameboy when I was 4 or 5. Back before they had gameboy colors. Haha. That thing was huge for a 4 year old!

I still remember my very first video game. Megaman X on the SNES. I love that game so much, I have it on my PC as a rom and I've beaten it like 20 times but im still not sick of it.

I honestly remember the name of my first game but it was really kinda fun, but my favorite game I remember is Space Station Silicon Valley for the N64. God, I loved that game I remember it was on game that I kept on renting from the game store and staying up playing it and falling asleep around 12 a.m, I was around 10 or 7 okay!, and how much fun me and my sister hade seeing who could go threw the stages faster. The one thing I didn't like about it was the camera angle that the game came up with it kinda went against you but then it gave an extra challange for the game. I've actually played it last month, my oldest sister took the t.v she gave me back, and it was just as fun as I rember if not better cause then I got a blast of memories that made it really better. Gosh I should stop before I go on ranting about other games.

Secret of Mana. I used to watch my brother play it when I was younger, then ended up playing it myself. It's the first game I can remember playing.

first game that I ever played was the original mario brothers. After that I got into the Sonic Series. Dragon Spirit was the best shooter NES game ever made IMO. I loved that game.
