Although it seems pretty neat, what does everyone think of Microsoft's latest, Project Natal? Does it look pretty awesome, or do you think it will follow the footsteps of the Wii's controls? The Wii seems to lack a lot of games that integrated well with the controllers, with the exception of Wii Sports, Fit, etc.
Microsoft's Project Natal's future: awesomeness or that of the Wii

Natals seems pretty cool. I don't think it will be the Wii killer. They'll make a good amount of good games for it but I don't think it will replace the original controller.

I think if it lives up to what microsoft has been saying about it project natal will definitely impact the wii. Regardless of it's effect on the wii such a system has a lot of potential. The wii, although unique, is somewhat 1 dimensional because of the controller layout, that is it's not good for games that don't really require controller motion. The xbox using motion sensing and classic style controllers will definitely allow the project to fill in the wii's shortcomings. As a long time xbox player I look forward to the result.

I don't know if it'll exactly "kill" the Wii since it's probably gonna be pretty expensive. It does look kinda cool, though.

I dont think it is going to live up to the videos. The Wii mote was portrayed to be able to control links sword, then you find out that you just have to slightly twitch your wrist to make him strike. I hardly believe these videos about it. I guess it isn't completely fair to base my argument on the Wii mote's results for Microsoft, but I guess it just made me lose faith in believing these kinds of things. The videos seem heavily edited.

As Technology by it's self it looks very interesting, but I don't think it will do well with the general gaming community. Only casuals will like it. I can't imagine any hardcore gamers liking it as the new way to play.

I think that Microsoft is much better at adapting than Nintendo and wouldn't put out a product that has enough snags to even be comparable to the wii, thats the last thing they want and they're certainly capable of steering away

I think it's gonna work well, but I'm still not gonna give two [bleep] bout motion sensing gaming.
