I've been playing Unite for a bit, and I can honestly say it's well worth it. One good thing about it is the "character transfer" option so you can pick up where you left off on Freedom 2.They tweaked quite a few things here, from Monster move-sets, Monster stats (i.e. more HP), modified weapons and armour, etc.I"m pretty sure they amped up the AI...Take the Silver Rathalos, for example. In Freedom 2, it usually takes me less than 15 mins to farm him with Onslaught Hammer. In Unite, it takes me nearly a half hour (and a few Mega Potions) to bring him down using the same techniques Then there's the Felyne Comrades. To be honest, that's the only thing that feels gimmicky, but they're actually quite fun to Hunt with depending if you set up their skills creatively. (Affinity Attack, Attack Up, Fall 7x/Get up 8x= one ass-kicking cat XD)Overall, it's pretty good. If I had to give a rating...7.5 or 8 out of 10. Despite all the new stuff they added, it's still technically the same game as Freedom 2. Side-note: I'm not sure if it's in Freedom 2, but I personally love the "Quick-stand Technique" in Unite. After being knocked down you can instantly dodge or guard AS you get back up. You don't get combo-ed to death that way

quick stand? So your saying i wont get endlessly ponded to death with no chance of survival if the game is in a bad mood with me???hmmm.... it sounds awful fishy to me.. monster hunter is all about getting creamed and fustrated monsters that you've already killed hundreds of times before :Pi've been thinking about getting it but wasn't too sure.. then I heared about pink sharpness and come on!!! PINK!!!!! it's just so amzingly deadly <3

I have both monster hunter 1 and 2, and I was really excited for unite. I got it right away, only to discover that it was really like an expansion pack for the series. Only a few new monsters and maps were added, and although many new weapons were added, there were a whole lot to begin with. I was very sad after the first few days. If you didn't play 1 and 2 as much, go ahead and get unite. Otherwise, save your money. Wait for an actual new game.

Its a great game...i've been playing from MHF and have played MHF2 as well.It tends to get a bit tedious with the constant grinding but its fun.You can carry over your character from MHF2 and the new monsters are both challenging and exciting.Hopefully we'll see a next installment soon.

soloing in this game can be rather challenging... But after earning the equipments on your own, you get a great sense of satisfaction... i'll recommend playing it with friends tho... It can be rather addictive and fun... Although some of them find the controls rather awkward or hard to handle... Gotta love this game nonetheless :no way:

I find any monster hunter series great, but really, the only downside is that it takes WAY too long to completely beat the game.

The monster hunter series is awsome and United only brings in even more features to add to amazing gameplay and the main reason that it takes WAY too long to beat is because all these games were designed that way so that people wouldnt get bored with it. Its one of those games where you cant really beat it but you have to keep on improving yourself until you are comfortable with your armor strength and your own abilities. Its actually a good thing because it results in hundreds maybe thousands of hours of gameplay.this game really isnt a rip off. in there are lots of cool features. one of my personal favorites to the game is the addition of bosses like lavasioth and yamatsukami they open up new ways to get things like dragonwood which you could only get from trenyas boat before.

well Monster hunter 2 was basicly #1 so i would bet that 3 is just like the others but with a couple new armour types. If you have one and 2 just play them again.

I played 2nd G.. the japan version(while waiting for MHU). I used a language patch for it.this installment has more armors skills, and your very own felyne comrade, that accompanies you during quests and which you can kick/Upswing/Wyvern Fire without so much as a NYA.. hehei think the best property of the MH series is its multiplayer mode... hours of monster hunting with friends is the best way of playing this game. :)

I recently got back into number 2, there is defiantly a lot of hours to put into these games, this one has way more armor and weapons. I might check it out after finishing 2, if I still have a drive for these games.
