For all you Mario fans out there, which do you prefer, the old retro 2D games, or the newer 3D games. Personally I like the retro games, could just be because I grew up with them. So what's you opinion.

i i like new because the graphic is better and and its 3d graphic is cool

Mario started it all man, I feel like saying I prefer anything other than the original is slightly blasphemous

I like the newer Mario games, since they are not as ridiculously difficult as the older ones.

The new Mario games are brilliantly laid out, both graphically and playability, yet I will always prefer the retro games. I grew up playing originals like Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda. Those were, and still are, adventures that set a milestone for the gaming industry. The original, with its side scrolling 2D layout and the music, is like a cultural landmark that can be built upon but never truly matched.

Older Mario games are the only ORIGINAL mario games i know of. Super Mario bros. 3 and Super mario 64 are as ORIGINAL as mario can get."New" Super Mario Bros? Why name it that? That doesn't sound very original.... Every mario game is going to be "new" if it comes out. lol.It was still a very fun game though. It just isn't like the originals.

I like the older ones just because the newer ones really are not as challenging.

I agree with you there, the old school mario games were very fun due to the challenge involved
