Personally I really enjoyed the Legend of Heroes series. How about you guys? Ive heard both bad and good things about it so far so lets hear from everyone!

I remember playing them, and being completely underwhelmed. However, I did have a weird, obsessive compulsion to advance and discover everything... So in the end, I had fun, and was sad to see them finished.
