majora's mask defintely took me a while. 5 years actually. from when it was released and i got it, to when i actually manage to beat it :awesome: apart from that, super mario rpg, secret of mana, terraria or minecraft can't decide between which one, and the metroid prime collection (its a single disc, so i count it as a whole game XD)

----1. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link- This by far took me the longest, since I got to the Great Palace at the end and locked myself out by misusing my keys and had to start the game all over again... -.-2. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening- I was in fifth grade, so age does play a factor in how long it took me, lulz.3. Final Fantasy X- I just liked it so much I'd replay it haha4. Final Fantasy X-2- I actually just went out and bought a PS2 and memory card because I found the game in my closet, I'm going for 100% completion right now.5. Super Mario Bros.- Never beat it, bah.----

First on the list is Xenogears. Finished it 11 times already. At the very least. So that's 11x100 hours? Do the math

Second I think is Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Played that from start to end while getting all the emeralds every weekend for what I think was a year

Third would be Monster Hunter Unite. Anyone who actually played that game knows what I mean. HR6 and only 150 hours in and nowhere near decent equipment

Fourth is Super Mario 3. Beating the game from world 1-8 while beating all the stages is time consuming. This is tied with Super Mario World

Last is any rpg you throw at me, be it Final Fantasy, Suikoden, Fire Emblem, Neverwinter Nights, etc.

Let me think for a second...

Dragon Quest IX Sentinels of the Starry Skies took up a great chunk of my time. On the console, I logged over 700 hours, and I still haven't found everything in the game. I must be really bad at it. Don't get me wrong, I finished the main quest a long time ago, but I can't find all of the weapons and items since they are very rare, and only drop from Rank 10 or Rank S blue chests at random. Well, not really random... I mean there is a way to go and manipulate it but I don't feel like using the Chest Timer method. Also, I haven't found all of the Grotto Legacy Bosses.

Another game series that was pretty all-consuming for me would have to be Golden Sun and Golden Sun the Lost Age. I count them as being two halves of the same story, so I can't count them seperately. I took a lot of time to completely finish them and find everything. All 72 Djinni, all of the Summon Tablets and all of the optional bosses. That also took a while, and I still haven't found everything in there either since I don't think I was ever able to forge all of the items and weapons that Sunshine can make. I did beat the game though, and that is all that really matters I suppose.

I spent a lot of time playing Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time as well. I tried to be thorough with all of the things you can get; the Skulltulas, the Bottles, the optional items including the Biggoron Sword, the masks, et cetera. I tried playing through multiple times, so I do know the game somewhat well. In fact, during High School they wanted me to keep a Journal for some weird reason, and I couldn't think of what to write. Eventually I decided to just write a walkthrough for Ocarina of Time, and the teacher was satisfied with that. I am not a gaming god or anything, I will never be a runnerguy or a Cosmo Wright, but I am capable of completing the game.

Chrono Trigger is considered by many to be a masterpiece. The fact that we are still playing it today pretty much proves it's staying power. I mean, they even made a copy for the Playstation that had cutscenes, and a port for the Nintendo DS that included some new bosses and dungeons along with some new dialogue for the characters. Anyway, it is a game that I have played a lot. First I did the main quest where you save Crono and Marle is in the party. Then I wasn't aware that there were other versions of that cutscene so I always went and saved him with that party. I guess I am just stubborn or something. I tried to get all of the endings, but I only remember getting a few of them. I probably got about half or so.

The only other game I can think of that took up a lot of time for me was probably Super Smash Brothers Melee. I tried to find everything in there but that trophy machine is rather fickle, is it not? Then there were the Event Fights and winning all of them. I played through Classic Mode and Adventure Mode with all of the characters only to find out that there is an All-Star Mode. Looking at the trophies and observing the character models is also something that took a while to get through.

One of them has to be Chrono trigger, after years and years of playing it, I am still finding secrets in it, and after giving it a break once in a while, I just keep coming back to it again and again.

Just the same as it happens to me with Final Fantasy VI and VII, those three are complete classics, that I never get tired of playing.

1) Disgaea Hour of Darkness (PS2) (500+ Hours)

2) Pokemon Yellow (GB) (256+ Hours)

3) Final Fantasy XII (PS2) (200+ Hours)

4) Infinite Space (DS) (100+ Hours)

5) Disgaea 2: Curse of Memories (PS2) (100+ Hours)

Sadly, out of that list I had to force myself to finish Final Fantasy XII.  I hated almost every minute of that game and only finished it because I had dumped so much time into max leveling Vaan before I even started recruiting the other characters.

Pokemon HeartGold: Like all the previous Pokemon games, when I get myself a team of my favorite non-legendaries, I just have to get them to Lv. 100, breed them, then train them all over again, and compare stats. It's a scary cycle, but I enjoy doing it. Love the gym leader rematches.

Disgaea DS: Grinding to Lv. 9999 just to KO every enemy in one shot is pretty sweet.

Tale of Phantasia: Story was mind-blowingly good and long with decent monster levels to grind on. By the time I was about to fight the boss, Cress was Lv. 98, and when I found out that the levels don't stop at 100, I went back to good old grinding.

Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga: I loved it. My second favorite of the series, only second to Partners in Time (found Bowser's Inside Story a little too easy and short). Continues to play for the mini-games to earn beans to make stat-raising coffee. Ends up giving it all to Luigi.

Radiant Historia: Going through history over and over again is quite time consuming.

Pokemon Red: I remember getting the game for the GB Color back in the day - I almost never put the game down. Even today I still enjoy plugging in the ROM and taking it for a spin, whuppin' the gym leaders and the Elite Four with the first 150.

Skyrim: Typical Bethesda - giving me too much to do.

World of Tanks: Good on Wargaming for making this game because combines two things I like to do - shooting things in giant armored behemoths and giving it a RPG feel with the research trees and XP gimmick. Plus, it's free to play (you might throw in a few bucks down the line)

Killing Floor: I remember when this used to be a mod for the Unreal engine. When it came out as a stand-alone game I was back to grinding and it brought back a lot of good memories. Steam says I have a 120+ hours on the game.

Mount and Blade: Warband : This is probably by far the #1 time-consuming game I've played. I'm a perfection nut so I've kept restarting my game to keep trying a new build (end up doing the same thing). Almost 250 hours logged. No regrets.

1: Super Mario Bros. 3; not only my favorite game of all time but one of the games I play the most, over and over again. I love it.

2: Any Dragon Quest title; even the ones I've beaten I still go back and revisit, primarily those of the Roto trilogy

3: Final Fantasy VI; everytime I play it I make sure to hit max level for everybody, it's always worth the time and effort- and the game is just too damned fun

4: Fallout 3; Put forth about 300 hours total doing everything in the game- multiple times

5: Any Elder Scrolls title; nuff said.

This list isn't in any particular order, but afaik, these are the games I have spent the most time on in my life

Star Fox 64 (my favorite game of all time)

Final Fantasy 6

Smash Bros Melee

Donkey Kong Country

Pokemon Red/Blue

While SF64 remains my fave of faves, it might be the one I've played least on this list...
