i actulally want to get a tattoo in like a year or so, and my bro has a tatto so i would be a hypocrite if i did judge people and i dont or mayby i do it but i dont realise it. so no i dont but i guess that people do judge other people on apreanceGPs were deducted for this post, please read the rules! - reddeath26

I am a woman with two tattoo's on my back. They are both unique designs and I chose them for my benefit and not for others. my view is that if someone does not like tattos that is there choice and what i choose to do to my body is mine. If you choose to have a tatto it is something for yourself and not for other people but it is also a not a descision you should make lightly and you must think it though and choose wisely.

I don't really judge people with tattoos, i have 2 myself and my wife has 3 with plans to get more and also work part time in a rock bar where the majority of the customers have at least a small tattoo. I did have reservations when i was younger but have come to like them and enjoy seeing the different designs people have, small, large, sleeves or backpieces it doesn't matter. As the above person mentioned tattoos are an art form with which to express yourself and a lot of people i've known have thought of thier body as a canvas, people do make assumptions at first glance but its what you do with them that matters... The majority of folks i know that have tat's aren't a bad lot, but as with anything there are always exceptions to the rule.

I don't judge them, considering I have one myself. A dragon on my shoulder. I placed it there so it would be hidden unless I wanted otherwise to show it.Although I am not a saint either. I draw the line at face tattoos or sleeve tattoos. If you work in the industry, fine, no problem. But if you get one and want to find a normal job, well, you should have thought about it better before getting it done.

Are you retarded or something? "Free thinker?" Hell most people nowadays get tattoos because everyone else gets them. Tattoos used to actually mean something but for the most part they've been reduced to nothing more than a fashion trend. (Protip: It's not "alternative" if everyone else is doing it.) It's the whole "I want to be a nonconformist just like my friends" mindset. Are you trying to say that every girl who gets a butterfly tramp stamp is unique, just like the other 5 million girls that did it before her? Very poor argument.

In my country, tattoos usually have a negative connotation. You see many people failing job interviews etc cos of them. On the streets, you would get stares and wadnot. I have nothing against tattoos, but see no point in them. However, i see it as an expression of art and should be appreciated. If you want a tattoo, think long and hard about it, cos its trouble getting rid of it. btw, meganfox \m/

People DO judge others because of tattoos; it's just a way of life. However, social interaction will counter that. If you're a kind and caring person (which I'm assuming you are :weep:) then let them know that you are not the stereotyped tough, mobster kind of tattoo-getter. But because you can't just strike up a conversation with everyone in the bus, others will still think of you as the typical tattooman. This shouldn't bother ANYONE because sooner or later, you're bound to get on someone's "bad list". I know not all people who have tattoos are bad; my pastor has one, and it's got nothing to do with Christianity :(

Tattoos are okay when they are new. once they are old they get saggy. So thats why you should just get a removeble one(or several) and that way when you are older you do not have to worry about them getting all wrinkly and disgusting but the only problem with this is that they are quite hard to find(good looking removeable tattoes. And even so if you do get a tattoo people will judge you so thetattoo better make a good impresion so you have to wonder if it is a good idea in the first place.

tattoo are pretty but they are very hard to get off so once you have a tattooo it will probably never come off.tatoo are pretty when you aren still in your twenties or thirties but once you get old your skin will become loos and then the tattoo will become a different shape.so i would recomend having a tattoo but taking off later.but getting rid of tattoo are very hard.so yeahGPs were deducted for this post, please read the rules! - reddeath26

For the past month, I have been considering getting a tattoo. If I were to get one, it would be a simple tribal tattoo on one of my shoulders. It would be easy to hide for job interviews, meeting friend's parents, etc. but I'm still unsure. I am curious - when you see someone with a tattoo, do you judge them? If so, in what way? Personally, I don't judge people, although I wonder how a person with a full body tattoo or a sleeve tattoo will feel 50 years later. Thanks for the input.

Most tattoos bother me. I don't judge a person based on having body art, but it does always catch my attention and (especially if it's large) kinda gross me out. Then again, if I get a little bit of pen on me, I have to get it off asap, I'm really OCD about it. If you get a tattoo, I'd recommend something small and not flaunting, and make it something that has meaning for you personally. Good luck!

I see a lot of people with tattoos, and to be frank, I'm actually a little jealous. I change my mind too often - I can't think of anything I would want etched into me for the rest of my life.If anything, I judge them positively, for being devoted or passionate enough about whatever inspired the tattoo to get it, and if I get a chance, I'll ask them (politely) where they got it. XD

Cause if we wud really be open for everything .... how can we ever be Suprised by people? But dont worry, get ure tattoo, its fun to shock or suprise people :)

People get judged for having tattoos. I saw a tourist get kicked out of a swimming pool in Japan for having one (Although it was in Japanese and it said something very naughty, LOL). I don't think he knew what it said.Personally, I don't care if people have tattoo's, as long as there's a meaningful reason for having them. I have my children's names tattooed on my arm.I find it sad when people get tattoos because they think they're cool or they think it makes them look tough. I judge people who use that kind of reasoning for getting them.

I find that to be a tough argument. That you should only get one if theres a "meaningful reason" I feel that if they have a tattoo, no matter what it is, THEY feel its meaningful. Who are we to decide what is meaningful to ANOTHER. yes, people judge people with tattoos, Its a fact of life. People judge people. I have a few tattoos, one is my Navy join dates, another is just barbed wire on my arm(not all that original, i know) Do i get judged, certainly. Should i care? I don't really think so. It was my decision, and one that i made. Both tattoos can be covered for the work place, or shown off if im at a bar. To Pedo's argument, "you shouldn't do it if you think it looks cool" i disagree with. For this reason; What if everyone had that attitude about EVERYTHING. I feel the world would be VERY different. there would be NO variety...which, i think would be much more "sad" then someone getting a tattoo just for the sake of having one.

I don't judge people for simply having a tattoo, but I definitely feel their appearance can give someone an impression of what they are really like. If I see someone walking around covered in skulls, naked girls, and similar tattoos of course I'm going to get a bad impression of them. Something small or benign is no big deal, but when entire arms are covered with tattoos that look aggressive it is only natural to make the immediate assumption that their personality reflects their tattoos. Generally, people want their tattoos, even their general appearance, to reflect themselves, or at least who they want to be. I have nothing against people with tattoos, and I feel many look pretty cool, I would just recommend not getting any tattoos that give off an image you don't want people to perceive of you

Honestly, i do judge people with tattoos. Often, i have been wrong about people, so i hope that i may be more fair-minded in the futute. But as to why i judge them prematurely...I have known a lot of "bad" people in my life, and almost all of them have had tattoos. Whenever i watch the news, and someone is arrested for a crime--->tattoo. I see gangs--->tattoo. So i guess i've just associated it with a lifestyle that i refuse to lead.

I would judge people with tattoos, and WILL try to avoid them if i ever meet one on the street. But if it comes down to letting me decide on a life-changing decision for him/her, such as employment, i would try to ignore those tattoos, and look at other things. But of course, i would also judge other things, such as body language. Smoking is also something to judge by, though not that much.

I personally believe that everyone will judge you for a tattoo, whether its good or bad judgement! But its just like if you wear a t-shirt with swearing or violence on it, you will be judged, most people will judge that your probably a bit psycho and weird! Let them judge, its human nature to judge what we see! I have tattoo's, one in plain sight on the inside of my left forearm, and i see people look at it, some admire, and some people cringe! You shouldnt get a tattoo if your worried how people think of you that much, because otherwise everytime someone says "Tattoo's just make people look like freaks", then your gonna just keep feeling stupid for your desicion, but when i comments like that i know thats their opinion!!Wow, that was a long one

I have two tattoos myself. but they are rather easy to conceal, my family nickname on my upper back and a pair of wrestling shoes on my calf, but I do feel that the types of tattoos you have get show what kind of person you are.

Personally, I would most likely judge people based on the AMOUNT of tattoos and the theme they are trying to portray with them. If it's a sixteen-year-old girl with a small heart tattoo on her left arm..well my impressions on her aren't going to be as strong. However, fi you present to me, a man with nearly a hundred tattoos based on death and other relative things, I'm going to be a bit prejudice and say, he's not exactly the sweetheart type of person"

when I was younger I used to think that tattoos were wrong somehow and that only weird people got them, so yeah, i was judgemental and closed minded, lol, but since then i grew up and at the moment i've got a few friends with some really cool tattoos and others with little words that i totally forget are there, but i only judge if people get tattoos that i think make them look like total tools, but hey, i guess that's still being judgemental. i wouldn't even be opposed to getting one now, i just don't know if there's anything i could commit to.
