It seems that it depends what tattoo you're gonna take. Aggressive, childish or anything else, tattoo is an art not only for decoration but also a way of expression. So it's one reason people judge a person depending on the tattoo he/she wears.Well, although I disagree about judging first before knowing the person, I guess one should get an ample impression on the tattoo a person wears. True, dangerous people like gangsters wear tattoo and anyone should stay away from these people but later on, if the person shows his/her true nature is different from the impression, we should not cling on that first impression.About your last sentence, I sort of agree about that. Later on, when a person ages the skin wrinkles so it wouldn't look nice anymore.Personally, I would judge people if they have tattoos. I know it isn't right, but it implies a tough nature, a nature that is aggressive. I've associated tattoos with gangsters. For example, the Chinese Triads and the Japanese Yakuza use tattoos all of the time, striking fear into peoples' souls before striking. If the tattoo is childish, like a unicorn, I would think otherwise. But most tattoos are intimidating, and only a few are cute. That's my opinion. Also, though it may seem OK today, don't you think it will be awkward 50 years later? The tattoo would become incredibly disfigured by then.

Exactly! So what you're saying is that a tattoo should symbolize say, a deep personal meaning. Such as; overcoming a disability right? Something personal like that. It is an excellent thing to say. Getting tattoos "just for fashion" bugs me to no end... They are forever and definitely should have a meaning to the bearer. If the tattoo has no meaning; what is the point of getting it anyway? You could symbolize using different methods if that is what you are aiming for. Okay; here is an example. You are part of a sports team, and then you get fired/cut off of the team; and you still had the tattoo... You would probably regret it right? Some people might... Some people might not; especially of you liked the team you were on. My example stinks... sorry, but anyway a deep personal meaning is what every tattoo bearer and people wanting to get tattoos to think about. Also; about the judging thing... I judge people but I don't say it to their faces. thank goodness right? Because I'm kind of speak my mind when it comes to judging people. It depends on the person and what the tattoo is.Most people get the dumbest tattoos, like barcodes on the back of the neck or white people getting random Japanese writing on their wrists or those stupid stars and all that crap. It's nonsense, tattoos have become a fashion trend and quite a stupid one at that. To me, a tattoo should mean something to the person who gets it, beyond a fashion statement or some generic platitude.

I will think positively because it is general in nature ... everyone can do it .. and I think it is not illegal although in some religions it is forbidden to ... after all the tattoos are considered as personal decoration for some people ..but I will not ever make a tattoo because I thought it was annoying to me ... even if it is free to make it .. but some people are very proud of considering it if they have a tattoo ... so it was very general in nature and all people must be thinking positive ... that's my opinion .dgemu.com<3GPs were deducted for this post, please read the rules! - tedsb16Nope. I agree with you that tattoo is a permanent mark that when people see, there is a great chance that you would be judged. And also, I don't think tattoos are created for fashion. Tattoo is an art that symbolizes something about the person wearing it. Like from my previous post, tattoos were used to symbolize the number of people a person killed. There are also tattoos that were used to mark slaves (I forgot what country did that but I've learned that from high school). Also, tattoos can risk an opportune job, sports, or whatever that has rules that tattooed people are not allowed to enter. Think about it very hard before getting one.Exactly! So what you're saying is that a tattoo should symbolize say, a deep personal meaning. Such as; overcoming a disability right? Oh I judge them alright. I try not to. But I do. I don't think that they are crazy, or sinful, or scary, or anything like that. I just form an opinion about what their personality be like. I don't have a problem with tattoos on other people, when done well they can be beautiful works of art. Even people who tattoo their entire body, I can respect. It throws me off, and I certainly wouldn't even get a small tattoo (I hate needles), but I can respect them for it. I just laugh when I think about how the tattoo will look when their skin begins to sag. It's really only when people flaunt their tattoos *cough* tramp stamps with sagging pants *cough* that I judge them negatively. A person who dresses and acts professionally and friendly but has tattoos, I treat no different than anyone who dresses and acts professionally and friendly and has no tattoos. It all boils down to personal taste. What do you want to look like? If you like the tattoo, and are comfortable with people's reactions to it, then go for it.For the past month, I have been considering getting a tattoo. If I were to get one, it would be a simple tribal tattoo on one of my shoulders. It would be easy to hide for job interviews, meeting friend's parents, etc. but I'm still unsure. I am curious - when you see someone with a tattoo, do you judge them? If so, in what way? Personally, I don't judge people, although I wonder how a person with a full body tattoo or a sleeve tattoo will feel 50 years later. Thanks for the input.

based on my own experiences some people do judge persons who have tattoos. and if you seek of a noble profession like a doctor or something, i suggest you don't have one, but if you really love tattoos.. then probably put it somewhere discretely.. And I mean you can get tattoos only if you are mature right? So it's you own consent to have one or not, don't mind other peoples opinion about, just do what you like..For the past month, I have been considering getting a tattoo. I could see how someone that doesnt have one would think that but most tattos are usually personal so it all comes down to someones self of steam. in the end weither its a sleeve or just a simple insignia the choice should always and only rely on if you want itGPs were deducted for this post, please read the rules! - tedsb16For the past month, I have been considering getting a tattoo.
