It's a good Idea but then Microsoft would be putting to much money out on replaced disks than sold ones so it's not going to happen.

I agree with Filterfan1, it would be great if Microsoft did it but it wouldn't be very practical for them.

If it's a series of light scratches, they can be easily repaired using a CD polishing system...Though if the discs are in really bad condition, then you're really in no luck...

Scratched disks are easy to fix with some clear acrylic paint and a hand drill it is the cracked disc that need to be replaced. Microsoft has a policy on cracked discs. they will replace any disc on their list of "Faulty" disks. My Halo 2 and PGR3 disks both cracked in the drive so i sent them in and they gave me new ones.

First Id try to buff out the scratches with the toothpaste method, but if that succeeds Id buy a new one.

just take it down to a cd store and get it relayerd. They shouldnt replace them because its your fault if they get scratched. Its your fault if u move the console while the game is in there and its on.

I would just go to play n trade and ask them to repair my disks. They also do other things to like fix the RROD if you have one.

Disc clean and repair systems aren't too expensive, and you can run your discs through them multiple times until they work again (had to do that with my Borderlands disc, ran it 30+ times, but it worked).

i heard they only take of the layer thats scratched. you could actually see the difference. not sure if its bad for the game or not.

if the disc is scratched by the xbox 360 itself, microsoft should replace it. that is, if the game does not work. plenty of my games are scratched and work perfect.if the game is unplayable due to an error by microsoft, microsoft should replace it. remember, just cause its scratched doesnt mean its broken and needs to be replaced.

Yes. Because, cleaning materials are far too expensive. They should just start letting you replace it, if it's a disc that is. Since any/all discs will eventually scratch even if you take care of them.

Well I think after about two games being destroyed, you should send the xbox in for repairs on Microsoft's dime.

take it to a fleeMarket, and go to the videogame and/or music booth.. and ask if they re-wax cds/games, if they do, pay the man his 10 bucks and save 50 bucks in buying a new one.

if they dont rewax there, take it the the 2nd closest fleemarket.
