Rpgs are usually good because you are able to roam free in the game.also because you could have an adventure. like link twilight pricess.

Well not all RPG's allow you to 'roam free', your freedom tends to always be curtailed to some extent. But yes, that is the general idea of an RPG and its main attraction: the fact that your decision affects gameplay at a much greater level. Not to mention that some RPG's are incredibly fun and allow players' to experience different times.Yes, medieval is mine among others :nea:

Try typing the word "fa!l" on dgemu when posting, it appears as succeed. Spell it properly though, F-A-I-L without the dashes, doh!

i like rpgs because you can do whatever you want. its not like mario or something where you are forced to do all of the levels and stuff. you are free to do fun stuff at times and then the actual gameplay later.

I like RPG's because the developers actally put time and energy into pleasing their audiences. After all how many FPS's do you know of that have good plots or how many RTS games have interesting combat. I the end I think the gaming community treats FPS games like a well designed create your own adventure book in the sence that its somethig that you can go home and explore in a non-linear fashion. FPS games also have a higher satisfaction. For instance saying that you have a lv 61 black mage with 10000hp is more of a bragging phrase than " oh well, I have a kill ratio of 3.14159" . In the end I think RPG's are more of a classic than anything else.

I think it is because you are the main character and the plot is usually better than other games. Being the main character of a game probably makes the player feel special and will want to play more of the game..

Yep. One of the best types there is. RPG's are just like strategy games but with more... I dunno.. Creativity. Something like that. Leveling, growing, getting new allies. Learning all sorts of things and just fighting. Everyone seems to like fighting in a game.

No, RPGs are awesome cause they have something most other games don't have. this is called PLOT. plot is important. plot should take front seat, not graphics.

RPG's allow one to take the place of another, which is cool...I hatr the op you can achieve on rpg's though...one hitting things is a bit stupid...i like Rpg's as my second favourite genre...unless they are shooter rpg adventure's...in which case i love them :D

I love RPGs cause I love having new goals to do. (Get to next cutscene, level up, finish all sidequests, unlock all weapons, etc.) It's got a lot more varieties and I feel more accomplished when I complete one.

RPG's are good for the simple fact that it has depth, story, has its own environment and dimension that sucks you in there and experience it...It stimulates our imagination to the point where you are going crazy!(hahaha just a joke)..
