First of all i dunno if this is the right place to post this topic but hey....anyway heres the whole story :one day while i was enjoying MHF unite i got this new PSX game Breath of fire IV(ryu no senshi IV) anyway when i tried to open the game(in the PSP Duhh) it didnt open it just froze with nothing on the screen although the home button is still operational(i was using 5.00 M33) so i thought there was a problem with the pops loader, and when i searched the internet and i was told that i need 5.00 m33-2 to use the 5.00 popsloader, so i upgraded my PSP to that firmware, and followed some instructions to install it, but then it didnt work again, this time it says game could not be started.....i was like wtf...what did i do wrong...? Note: when i downgraded my psp to 4.01m33-2 Breath of fire works!! BUT MHF unite says that my save file is corrupt...while its not...i upgraded my psp back to 5.00 m33-2 and that proved my point, it wasn't corrupt so what do i do...im through with this stuff...

According to gamerpress it workes on 5.00 M33-6:http://www.gamerspre...tibility_List#Band since it worked on 4.01 M33 I'm assuming the ISO is good and you converted it correctly. If that doesn't work you can always use popsloader to load it through a different firmware's pops. You can get the popsloader plugin here:http://www.pspmod.co...tion-setup.htmlIt basically allows you to load the POPs from other firwmares when you boot up your PSX game. (holding R)Since some games run better on different firmwares, this comes in handy.

I really am not sure. With the popsloader plugin you can stay on 5.00 M33-6 and load games that normally wouldn't work on it. Though, it's supposed to work on 5.00 m33-6.

Oh I thought you said it's not a problem anymore. I read it wrong.I am stumped as to why it's not working. Are you using PSX2PSP to convert it?

Well I know it's not the game, because it worked on an earlier firmware. But it's possible it could have been made with older software making it incompatible with 5.00 M33. I'd try extracting the ISO and recompressing it to an eboot with PSX2PSP. Also, have you had this issue with any other games?Knowing how to convert PSX ISOs is also something that'll come in handy as well.

And guess what..? ur right, the game worked after i extracted the iso and converted it back to eboot using PSX2PSP v1.3 but another thing came up.. i extracted a couple of iso's from 2 other games1- Megaman x62- Devilmanbut both of them didn't work after conversion, and i think thats because both of CD's surface conditions weren't so good..Anyway ill try different PSX CD's that i got and maybe at least one will work...

Well I'm glad we solved that! As for ripping games, I've had problems in the past. I think ripping them as .img files or .bin files worked better for me. I can't remember right now.
