i expected to play kinda like the PS2 version. i liked it better when you set up the controller so that you can have one button for the 3x punches and stuff but now you have to do super combos but now you have to do everything manually

I got the game and I was pretty happy with it. I thought the story was well done, but I didn't like all the characters. I thought Deadpool would be a lot better, but he didn't mesh with the rest of my team, so I gave him the boot. Iceman, Wolverine, Gambit, and Spiderman is my typical lineup.

Unfortunately I was never able to see why this game is beloved so much. I'm a HUGE fighting game fan, dating back to since I was five. I grew up with Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Virtua Fighter and more. I guess the reason I don't like MvC2 is because it seems really unbalanced. People just use Cable, Sentinel, and Storm and pwn everyone else haha. Also it just a little too over the top for me, I don't like it when action takes place off camera.I've heard some people compare it to my new favorite fighting game though, Blazblue. I guess i can see how its a a bit over the top, but that game feels much more balanced and fun for me. However,I think I'll give MvC2 another chance if my friends pick it up on psn. I'm interested to see these 200 hit combos i hear so much about.

I wish they remade it closer to the Dreamcast version. Starting the game with only the base characters, and earning points to unlock new stages, colors, and characters...That would've given it a lot more replay value than what it is now.

Um you aren't talking about MVC2, you are referring to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.

I play it so much since its just a fighting game that goes by fast and i don't feel guilty for wasting 10-15 minutes playing through arcade mode instead of doing homework. However like someone already said the control scheme is a bit annoying that you can't have a button that can act as double punch or double kick.

Dante, Wolverine, Spiderman.... Unstoppable. We hold frequent tournements on campus and I can not be touched. Wolverine breaks the first match and Dante finishes what Wolverine couldnt. Spiderman is there just to combo special moves and start arial assults for the win.
