they both look cool, like it, good lighting, nice brushing good choice of colour,7/10 for the first, 7.5/10 for the second!

the 3rd is the best, the 4th is too dark, and the eye thingy on the 2nd needs work, the first one is okay

Kaze- is right, though in someplaces in the render too much contrast, can't properly seee it! (IMO)

What do you use to add lighting effects? I hope its not render flare, cuz somehow it got deleted from my comp.

i use shadows and highlights on colorbalance layers, curve layers, and brightness contrast layers
