So the other day I was looking through all my old games and systems... it'd been a few months since I'd played anything except bass guitar, and I wanted to see if I could hock anything for some extra cash. Everything was cool, but I came across my PSP that I hadn't seen in a few months and BAM!Crack right in the middle of that beautiful huge screen. UGhhh what a bummer! It still turns on, everything would work, i just can only see 20% of the screen.Anyone else have this problem?Better yet, anyone know an affordable fix for this problem?

Buy a screen on ebay or something and have sony replace it, or you could replace it yourself. I have the same problem on my old psp, if you shake it you can hear some stuff rattling inside.

Luckily this didn't happen to me, but my little brother got a little angry one day, and the same exact result happened: he could see only about a quarter of the screen.

A broken screen is a mild problem since you can obviously see what is wrong with your PSPWhereas I had a faulty mainboard once; it almost drove me crazy.

If you have the 1000 model you can go here get a new one for about $18.16 or this. one its a better screen for about $22.65. It take about 3 or 4 weeks to get to you tho.

I broke my PSP but it wasn't a cracked screen, I managed to get water in it and now it won't turn on for more than 3 seconds.

Busted mine when I was doing some work on my roof, put it in my back pocket and wasn't paying much attention.

It's not broken yet... But it's getting there. Like a tap to it, it restarts the whole thing.Plus, it has a huge scratch taking the right side of the screen. I'm so uncarefull :(

go to dealextreme and get a new screen. just youtube how to replace it cause its the easiest thing to do. open it up, PROPERLY (why you youtube) take the screen out the frame and rehook the strips. it will take 10 minutes to replace and cost less then $20. this is how i got my second psp.

Try finding someone who can fix your PSP if you don't know how.....Or you can just go to the internet and search for a new screen and fix it yourself.....

You probably can't fix a broken screen. Fortunately, my PSP is still intact.

My PSP stopped working last year and wouldn't turn on, and it wasn't until this year that someone fixed it for me. I think I dropped it a couple of times on a hard surface that might have been the cause of it.

in my group of friends, 3 psp's were broken. they are made out of cheap materials. to fix it i would buy a broken one on ebay with a working/noncracked screen and just transplant it.

Had mine in my backpack and I droped it and one of my books shattered the screen. You could only see about 10% of the screen. My second one was stolen. O_O

Yes, I broke mine it was funny though. I updated to a custom then tried to boot it wouldn't thought I broke it so decided to see what it could take ran over it through it off a roof and several of things then read that the firmware I updated had trouble booting with a memory stick in which I had in when trying to boot it so I will never know if that was the problem but to help me sleep I tell my self it was. :channel: so really kinda my bad.

I did A LOT nasty things to my PSP, but it's still in perfect shape. Well, maybe not perfect, but still running very good.Dropped thousands of times, spilled water few times, accidentally stepped on it twice and lot of other stuff, including my dog trying to bite.Minding few scratches it's still great :( Indestructible :(
