On July 31, 1989 Nintendo Company released the Game Boy. About the size of a small book, and just about as heavy, the game boy let users play games away from home on a small pea-soup green screen. Since then, over the last twenty years, Nintendo has advanced in their Portable Gaming Technology, till now where the Nintendo DS ends the gameboy craze. But no one, nor none of us, will forget our old friend Game Boy. Which one was your favorite. Also Which was your first? Are you a seasoned gamer with the gameboy? Or did you come late with Nintendo's good old system?

I had the original, what they called "The Brick." I didn't get another Game Boy until the Flame GBA SPs came out. I miss those beautiful monsters...

my first gameboy was a gameboy pocket, and it was RED!my first game was Donkey Kong Land 2.I beat Pokemon Blue got every single pokemon and managed to glitch up my game with the missingno glitch! D= Although i did manage to see the certificate before the game fully glitched up.Years later i caught 2 mews with the trainer fly glitch in Pokemon Red. one was the normal way you get one, and another was from someone who had a slowpoke, east of viridian city. I am still surprised that except for my Blue Version, pretty much all the gameboy games i have in rl still work and have their batteries still operating.

While my first gameboy was the original one but I haven't payed any attention to it back then since the games where too hard for me so I consider my first gameboy to be SP since I got pokemon fire red with it and the first time I actually enjoy playing the games.

My first Gameboy was the gameboy color. However, it really sucked. The Gameboy Sp is so much better.

I got the Gameboy Color from my game-crazy cousins. A year after that, I got the Advance. Never got the SP though.

My first Gameboy was a Gameboy Color; it was purple. I still have it, but the back cover is broken and it has a few dents in it from being lost in the couch. Still works though! A few years later, I got a silver Gameboy Advance, which I would consider my favorite. I had many more hours of enjoyment out of my GBA since I didn't have very many games for the GBC.

My first gameboy was a purple Gameboy Color. It helped me while away quite a few hours with Pokemon and whatnot, until I found out about Dragon Quest and got into that game series. My favorite one is the Gameboy Advance.

GBASP is my favorite hands down. It's just a great all around system.

My first was a GBO.

I got the yellow Calvin Cline GB Color as my official first, still have it. I liked the GBASP, to be able to charge at all is something.

Funny, I call my DS a brick sometimes.

my first in the game boy line was the Gameboy advance in artic white, and I was a total dip and traded it for a purple SP... hated that trade for the longest time because of the big hands small device problem. but of all of them my favorite was the gameboy color because it was color capable handheld that used two common batteries and still worked for hours on end. I would have had the gameboy in 89 if it weren't for my parents refusing to let me get one until it was my money I was spending. (my own job) and yet they got me a gamegear when I was 10... all my friends had gameboys and I had the gamegear.

My first gameboy was the original grey brick with its pea-soup screen. I bought the set that included Link's Awakening, along with a rechargeable battery pack. It was my best friend on many a road trip.
But my favorite in the GB line was my blue Advance SP. It was compatible with the older games and had a built in rechargeable battery and a lit screen. I had the front-lit model, but even that was pretty good. I also liked the clamshell design which took up less space in my pocket and kept it protected. By then I was living on my own and it gave me something to do while waiting at the laundromat.

I had the good ol' brick.

The screen's flooding with pixels, the select button lo longer works...  but I can still play on it!

Got a GBASP and a DSLite too, but the good ol' brick will always be the best childhood memory.
