I have read many books, and have known many authors, and I see that there are quite a good number of them whose books are good but not popular. I'd say Chris Bradford's books should have been more known than it is now, as when I went to a bookstore looking for his books, they didn't have it. Such good books and they don't have it! I still can't find the book yet. The book title: Young Samurais : The Way of the Sword. Sure, the title sounds cheesy, but when I read the first book, i couldn't wait for the second one to be published.

I've just read a book by Brent Weeks, titled 'The Way of Shadows'. I'd stumble onto it in a corner at the bookstore, and surprisingly I've never heard of this good book. I'd doubt many people have even heard of the book, and when I looked at the comments about the book, there was only one! That proves that more people should recognize the greatness of this author.

Terry Brooks is an excellent author I've found. His Shannara series is wonderfully immersive, decently paced, and full of delightful twists. Even more fun is the Landover series. Essentially a Magical Kingdom sold to an unsuspecting New York city accountant for $1 million.
