My absolute favorite foreign band is Alphaville. They're a German synthpop band known for their songs "Forever Young" and "Big in Japan," but all of their music is simply gorgeous and amazingly catchy. I recently bought their massive nine-disk Dreamscapes set that comprises of demos, rare remixes, and previously-unreleased songs, and anyone who adores synthpop needs to hear it. The demos are so awesome that they're better than the originals!

well, technically, Canada is "foreign". so my favorite foreign band, also my favorite band, is Sum 41. They are from Canada.

The swedish band called Celtic Frost is pretty freakin awesome. So are In Flames, i think they're swedish too, not sure
