What would be the point of that, games were good as shooters, they still are good as shooters and I don't think that'll change much; sure some porn may be swept in at some point, but something as such already exists, however it won't ever be the main selling point, unless they want to see sales plummet.More and more games have been poping up with the M rating and some even with nudity and I was just wondering how far do you think they'll take it, do you think they'll stop where they are now or just keep on going until their are games that are as bad as pornos?
That would be a very distant future actually, because right now the Wii sales aren't $#!+, Natal seems to want to rip-off the Wii, Sony even more so; target audience? You know it!I don't think it will be long until there are adult only games.

It didn't used to be, but with these consoles taking on more and more media features (the ps3 especially, you can dl porn off it if you live in japan) and as the graphics improve they become more and more profitable, and things like GTA sell great, I think the time will come soon where it will be profitable, I mean it only takes one to kick off for a console to be flooded with itWell if you look at the Manhunt (i think that was it)game that came out a while back, it was so bad that it got the A rating, and most stores refuse to carry something that bad, so eventually a watered-down M version was released since only like 4 people bought it. So yeah, it really isn't profitable to make an AO game...
You do know Sony has built in a place where you can download porn off psn in japan right? So that kinda takes the steam out of your whole argument, and it just isn't about nudity either you could take concepts to a whole new level (I don't want to give examples because as it would probably cross the line of breaking the rules that this topic is dangerously close to already but use your imagination) and I do know there are a few games like that, that exist already but I think we're getting close to the point where it really gets off the ground and what does motion controls have to do with AO games, I seriously doubt they'll be using them (so yeah I doubt the wii will make the jump, mostly cuz of target audience and lower quality graphics) but the thought of using them on a AO game made me laughWhat would be the point of that, games were good as shooters, they still are good as shooters and I don't think that'll change much; sure some porn may be swept in at some point, but something as such already exists, however it won't ever be the main selling point, unless they want to see sales plummet. That would be a very distant future actually, because right now the Wii sales aren't $#!+, Natal seems to want to rip-off the Wii, Sony even more so; target audience? Okay I'm not going to actual say it because it would be crossing the fine line of the rules but what do you get when you combine violence and sexuality that would be more enjoyable to some in an interactive mediumI don't see developers taking certain content beyond its limits. Nudity/sexual content is something I don't see as really marketable in the videogame industry. If people really want that stuff, they'll go to a video store or join a website. Violence, however, sells. Take a game like MadWorld for example. That game displayed the most gratuitous violence I've seen in a game ever. Not that it was unacceptable or anything, it was just ridiculous no matter how you look at it. Games like that can acquire cult followings sometimes. And that can be a factor which would effect the decisions of developers when putting content into games. At this point, I don't think content can get much worse, because porn most likely won't take off, and anything that would already reached its potential.
